It is with sadness that I review this knowing the hotel has closed. We had 6 very comfortable nights in September relaxing after our daughters wedding. The welcome & service was wonderful, the food fantastic, and the garden suite very comfortable. I hope Geoffrey & Anthony enjoy there(semi?) retirement.

Having found out to our horror that this wonderful hotel is closing, due to the selfishness of Geoffrey and Anthony wishing to retire (only joking), we have reflected on our many visits since we became engaged there one winter's night in February 1999. Since then, we have visited a further twenty times and the welcome, the rooms, the ambience and... More

Had the good fortune to stay with here recently with our friends from Canada. Everything is just so very special, from the individuality of the rooms to the most wonderful of food served for dinner, certainly no detail was overlooked. Its just a huge pity that we hadnt returned sooner as Anthony and Geoffrey have made the decision to retire... More

We consider ourselves very fortunate to have stayed in this charming and idyllic country house. A warm welcome, outstanding comfort and touches to the room, along top class food made our 20tg anniversary very special. Thank you Geoffrey and Antony.

The decision to book a cottage at Kilmichael's Country House was definitely a perfect decision. Our host was so welcoming and accommodating. Thank you for the lift from and to the ferry. Our cottage was a perfect distance from the main road and the bus stop. Our stay was relaxing while providing a feeling of "being at home"! The interior... More

A night a Kilmichael was my surprise birthday present, and it was just perfect. a beautiful house with the most glorious array of knick knacks, great breakfast and a sumptuous room with the best bed I have ever slept in!. Our host was lovely and the little touches like short breads and afternoon tea were great. We didn't have one... More

This charming inn has the kindest innkeepers and incredibly amazing food. Due to issues with the ferry, we were not able to bring our car across. The owners gave us rides each day with a smile. Though it was quite an imposition as we had to get around without a car for 3 days, they always graciously helped us out.... More

Kilmichael never fails to live up to its reputation. That said, it does not need publicity as far as we are concerned, since we have been annual visitors now for around a decade. It is a visit that we keenly anticipate and then look back upon with nostalgic affection. The usual compliments apply. Attention to detail is impeccable, the atmosphere... More
