This was our first visit to the beautiful Isle of Arran and we had an amazing stay at the Allandale House. Ann is a wonderful host who makes you feel welcome. The rooms are comfy and clean, you can park your car on the driveway for free and breakfast is very good (the first morning we could choose to add...

We had a double room in the 'annexe', quiet, the room not that spacious but ok for the price, ditto the bathroom, a nice bath and plenty of towels. Breakfast was ok, although some fresh fruit that was more than apples and bananas would have been nice, with something like yoghourt perhaps. but the cooked breakfast was generous. Ann was...

Very nice stay. Miss Keiser is very kind. Breakfast is very good, we had the choice between scotish breakfast, porridge, haggis... The location near de ferry terminal and buses is very easy to travel. The room was very clean, we had tv in our room and bathroom. The place is quiet.

We stayed with Ann overnight and could not have been made to feel more welcome. We enjoyed a hearty Scottish breakfast and would not hesitate to stay with her again. What a b and b is all about, people like Ann help to keep tourists coming back for more.

We were taken very well care of by the Landlady and her staff the two nights we stayed here. We had a nice room in the annex with ample space and a big bathroom as well. The breakfast was excellent, and we could compose our breakfast just the way we wanted it - in fact we did that already on...

This was my first visit to Arran although my husband had been four times previously. From the moment I contacted Ann by email I felt excited about our trip. Like others Ann offered to pick us up at the ferry and we accepted. We were made very welcome and Ann explained about bus timetables, where to go and where to...

Our stay at the Allandale could not have been better! We felt very welcome and loved our room and the wonderful breakfast. The home was clean and nicely decorated. Ann went out of her way to make our stay the best possible. We will plan another stay, hopefully before too long!

Spent two nights on the recommendation of another B&B proprietor who could not take us. In spite of all the "no smoking" notices around the house, there was a definite smell of stale smoke in some of the rooms, although there were air fresheners throughout. Our bedroom was OK though, clean and adequately furnished. It was a bit cramped as...

We loved our stay at the Allandale House. Ann was kind and generous with us and our 6 month old baby. We loved the food and Ann was flexible when we overslept and almost missed breakfast. She made sure we had enough space and were warm enough. She moved us to a better room without us asking. She went above...

Have just spent 2 nights at the allandale with my wife and 9 wk old baby. Reviews of this B&B sound like a tourism promotion not travellers actual experiences. The B&B is situated at the top of a very steep hill (15-20 mins walk from the ferry) and I'm surprised this has not been mentioned as elderly guests or guests...
