We stayed on the beautiful Isle of Arran for a friend's wedding at the beginning of May. We were hosting the groom the morning of his wedding and chose the Shorehouse for its location and supposed amenities. On arrival we were shown to a second floor two-room apartment with small kitchen and tiny seating area. Firstly the hob was greasy...

Travelled to Arran for the Bank Holiday weekend and enjoyed a lovely stay at the Shorehouse self catering apartments. Our flat was comfortable and clean with plenty of space for a self catering break and a place to stay when exploring the wonderful island of Arran. The owners gave us a great welcome and were the perfect hosts! Personally I...

We had room 2 - 2 bedrooms with a very small living area and kitchen. The flat is cold, there are a couple of heaters but not very effective, probably ok in the summer months. The beds are very comfortable and the views are amazing. The toilet is very small and needing upgrading, dirty grouting. The towels are grey -...

This place is beyond terrible. It was filthy, never seen a hoover for months, mould on the ceiling, microwave was a health hazard, the bed sheets were disgusting and it was freezing. An embarrassment to Scottish tourism.

When we arrived we did arrive fairly early for a normal check in time. We went to the reception door and we were scared to walk in. A dog barking can be quite scary if you don't know the dog. Though we walked in and found the dog to be super friendly. I love dogs! We didn't know where any...

We were given , without asking, an update to studio2 and have no complaints. It was a large and comfortable room and very quiet so sleep was great. Jim is very friendly and helpful. Real fire in the reception area where we could relax and read had we wished is a nice feature. So close to ferry is great if...

To me, there are only 2 good things about this accommodation, the location (close to the ferry) and the view. We arrived in a freezing cold apartment as the oil heater wasn't working. We had to use the hob and oven to try and heat the place up! The shower didn't work, the tap on the bathroom was leaking the...

We had a two night stay in October .We booked a one bedroom apartment and were given a recently refurbished studio with superb view over the bay. We ate out so did not use the kitchen for cooking. only used the kettle. There was no microwave or pot lids but this did not bother us. The room was very well...

You would be hard pushed to find a better view looking out the window but the overall apartment could do with some money being spent on it. The bedding too should be reviewed as ours was a washed out wine coloured sheets and duvet which did not feel clean and fresh. The apartment however was kitted out well with everything...
