Having flown into Edinburgh airport late on Wednesday night I'd prebooked the Woodside Hotel for the evening I contacted the hotel during the day and they made sure that my arrival would not be a problem, I wouldn't arrive to find the doors locked and trying to get someone's attention My stay was brief being up and away first thing,...

Enjoyed a meal this evening with some old friends from the days when I was politically active in UKIP. The meal was brilliant and I would recommend this establishment to other visitors. I had the Mushroom soup and the Pan fried cod and leek and potato. Certainly no complaints from me. Plenty of drink from an efficient bar service too....

Nice quiet hotel in Aberdour - the room was clean and well kept and the breakfast was good - although I could have done with a bigger helping of the fry up - but that's just my greed talking - there was plenty of cereal and fruit as well as the cooked breakfast and toast. the night porter was really...

Good: The staff were friendly and the breakfast was satisfactory. Bad: There were cobwebs in our room. The duvet cover was too small for the duvet itself and whilst on the topic of the bed... not comfortable. Our bedroom window was situated right next to a street lamp which wouldn't have been a problem if the curtains were thicker. Not...

As others have said, some of the décor needs an update, but where they have refurbished, it is done well. The rooms were very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the chap behind the bar who seemed to be there 24 hrs a day doing everything. The ceiling in the restaurant is amazing when the sun shines through...

The only things the Woodside didn't have going for it during our one night stay was the faded decor and the slightly run down bathroom in our family room. The staff were lovely, warm and chatty when we arrived with two children, the reception clean and warm and nostalgic. The climb up to our second floor room wouldn't suit anyone...

We love this hotel. It is set in beautiful Aberdour close to all amenities. Each room is different and all very clean and beds very comfortable. We cannot thank the staff enough for making all our family members very welcome as up for a funeral they go out of there way for you and nothing is too much trouble. We...

Stayed here for one night working in nearby Burntisland about 2.5 miles away. This is a quaint hotel with decor that is a little dated, however everything works fine, beds extremely comfortable, plenty of room in first floor room I had at front of building.Staff at check in very good, breakfast next day excellent. Stayed overnight at this hotel. Situated on the high street but has private parking at rear. Staff are very pleasant and service both in the bar and at breakfast was excellent as was the breakfast. The porridge was really special. As for the rooms......we occupied two rooms one of which was more than acceptable. Our room was clean and tidy...
