Stayed in one of the lodges, described as a double. Not enough room to swing a cat let alone accommodate two people. On arriving found overgrown brambles entering the building which caught on luggage. On entering the room and using the bathroom the toilet seat fell off. Pipes to shower and the useless hot water so called tap in the...

Me and my husband stayed here last night. Although the room was cheap it was completely disappointing. Our room was so small that we could not both stand up at the same time, we had no hot water, the TV remote didn't work, the poor curtains meant that it was constantly day light in the room, we were not allowed...

Well what can I say .. I booked a budget hotel so that's what I expect however I did book here expecting free WiFi in every room as it states a few times on their website we are in the Johnson lodge and no free WiFi to be had .. I called within the 1st hour of being in the...

I stayed here on friday 22nd may, and never again. Despite the fact that i told them i was diabetic, and needed food little and often, there was no bar snacks/meal available. the ONLY option was a visit to the restaurant ,£25 ! The receptionist was completely intransigent and utterly unhelpful ,( iam considering legal advise over this issue )I...

We had the nicest visit here at Johnson Lodge. Our cab service, R&J, was excellent. John, owner/driver, David, and Maury, drivers were the best. Had a wonderful time in Edinburgh! Thank you all. I will be back!!!!

We discovered this place while looking for some inexpensive lodging while riding up from Hadrian's wall. We were so surprised when we discovered it is in a very rural, peaceful, and quiet location away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Our room is simple with lots of outlets, excellent WIFI, a double and a twin bed, and a...

The lodges are very reasonably priced so it is a major surprise to find that they are in the grounds of a luxury castle. They are surrounded by woodland, are very quiet and tasteful in style. Our room had comfortable seating and a huge wet room and was very clean. The grounds are available for walks, and the historical associations...

We were disappointed with Edinburgh Lodges because of the quality of the service around the accommodation. It's in the grounds of Carberry Towers, operated by Amazing Venues, and whilst the Carberry Towers venue is amazing the accommodation at Edinburgh Lodges wasn't. The shower room of our double-bedded room was tiny, and while there was lots of printed information about Amazing...

Located on the grounds of Carberry Tower Castle, the Edinburgh Lodges are an unbelievably affordable place to stay in the suburbs of Edinburgh. The location is like the Garden of Eden with lush vegetation, bunnies bouncing on the lawn, comfortable rooms, and a smaller castle for check-in. Our taxi driver exclaimed, "It's a f****n' castle!" as we drove up to...
