This hotel has all the olde english charm you'd expect of an 18th century inn. All the floors creak! Great fun. My double room was huge and well appointed. The staff were really friendly and the business cons room was ideal; cheap too. The only thing stopping a 5 was the menu. Being a chain, Green King, they are always...

I had a single room ,the bed was comfortable and roomy. It over looked the rear of the hotel and was quiet I couldn't hear the Minster Bell. The staff were efficient and friendly . The breakfast was fine and all in all it was a pleasant stay. The hotel had obviously had a recent refurbishment some of the finishes were...

We've stayed in several Old English Inns before and found them all to be clean, comfortable and great value for money, so we had no hesitation in booking the King's Head when my husband entered a cycle race which started in nearby Ringwood. Before we actually booked he phoned the hotel to make sure there would be somewhere secure to...

Only stayed one night but staff were excellent, my meal was superb and room was very comfortable. They even did some printing for me next morning. I didn't have a cooked breakfast but had the continental, cereal with tea and toast. I took a red apple with me for later. The let down was that later when I bit into...

I booked this hotel fro my parents, as they wanted to go to a nearby Italian restaurant for their anniversary. Their overall experience was fantastic. My mother said it was the best welcome she had ever received in a hotel! The food to the room was excellent and service was fab. They don't do room service per se, but in...

I spent 4 nights here over two trips, and unfortunately did not sleep well any night due to the heat in the rooms, and the chiming of the town clock outside which sounded every 15 mins, including overnight. In another room, i could not leave window open to fight the heat thanks to the over friendly pigeons who wandered into...

This Hotel is in a great position in a beautiful town. Food was very disappointing promised more than was received . Starters disappointing with limp lettuce! Partners risotto was tasteless. My steak was disappointing but eatable and frozen chips. I expected better. Room was at the front so was noisy no double glazing and the curtain rail was hanging off....

I stayed for two nights and enjoyed the friendly atmosphere. Good choice of evening meals at budget prices and a very good breakfast. Popular eating house and pub for locals too. Interesting individual shops and some good restaurants in the town and,of course the Minster. Not far to visit the sea at Poole. Very good base for west country day...
