We have stayed here twice now with my husband and two children aged 13 & 7. Site is very remote and a car is (in my opinion) essential. Situated between Corfe Castle and Swanage an ideal location to explore Dorset and the surrounding area. We have done days out to Poole, Bournemouth, Monkey World, Tank Museum and many more. The...

Could not recommend more, the lodges are done to a very high spec and in a wonderful location. They are beautifully decorated and so light, heated flooring and wood burning fire meant we were kept nice and warm, very relaxing and enjoyable stay we will definitely be back! Hot tub was huge and also attended to twice a day to...

We have been camping at Burnbake for a number of years and loved the relaxed atmosphere and woodland copse layout. When we heard that part of the site was to be occupied by wooden lodges we feared the worse. However, during an early November visit to stay in one of lodges we were pleased to see that there is still...

We had an absolutely lovely family holiday staying in Lodge 18. We felt that the lodge had everything we needed and more and was incredibly good value for money. There were lovely touches like the welcome pack in the fridge and being able to borrow a DVD player from the very helpful and friendly staff. We used our hot tub...

Absolutely loved the lodges. I cannot recommend highly enough. Coupled with the hot tub and log fire = brilliant. The lodges are spacious, clean and well thought out. There is pretty much most things that you would need for a stay. Our kids loved walking about the woods and husband and eldest went for a run to the sea from...

We stayed here over the weekend with some friends and had a very nice time. The lodge was clean and very comfortable with a nice hot tub outside. Was very quiet set in the forest location with easy access to the surrounding attractions. We would certainly visit here again

We recently stayed in a lodge at the Burnbake forest Hoeseasons site and it was amazing! Really pleased with our little home for the weekend! Modern yet rustic, cozy decor! Had everything you could need and probably more! Lovely peaceful surroundings and an amazing hot tub! Great central location to all the beautiful places we wanted to see, Durdle door,...

Wow, beautiful lodges, fully equipped with EVERYTHING you need, hot tub, food welcome pack in the fridge. I had never used a hot tub before - just bliss on a cold January morning, lying in the tub and listening to the birds. Some deer wandered onto the site, to our joy. Completely bowled over with the completeness of the lodges....

I've been a Burnbake visitor since about 1997, first as a camper, now as a lodger. The lodges are excellent. Spotlessly clean, very well equipped and the thoughtful, kind touches of the campsite are still there. We liked it that the place is still very relaxed, without a long list of rules. A nice welcome pack of food in the...

Thank you for your very kind comments. It is particularly pleasing to have great feedback from somebody who knows the Burnbake "of old" if you like. Hope to see you again soon in either lodging or camping capacity!

Fantastic lodges, very well equipped, log burner, everything you need in the kitchen, bath robes, slippers and the all important hot tub which is cleaned twice daily. The family thoroughly enjoyed their stay and we will definitely be booking another stay in the future. The location is stunning and only a short walk to Corfe Castle or Swanage.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Burnbake comprises of 22 luxury forest lodges with hot tubs and camping pitches. Camping: The campsite is a very traditional family orientated campsite, an ethos we have strived for since opening in 1975. We are a turn up and pitch site for tents and campervans. I am afraid we are NOT able to take caravans. We have a wide selection of flat level pitches ranging from heavily shaded areas that are perfect for those hot sunny days to more open areas for those looking to make the most of the British sunshine. Facilities wise we have toilets and showers, a shop, small laundrette, small play area and a café open for peak times. We can cater for larger family groups on our events fields by prior arrangement. For pricing, bank holiday booking, and more information please see the campsite website. ... more   less
