I booked this hotel as I went down to Wareham to see friends. I'm a single mother with a 9 month old baby. I called and requested a travel cot in advance and booked a single room. From the outside the hotel looked decrepit but I thought I would check out the room first incase the inside was better. I...

Don't know whether we were staying at the same hotel as the people in the three "recent reviews" of Worgret Manor - assuming we were not I would stress that: our room (7) was spacious and clean - and all the windows opened we heard no adverse plumbing noises! there were ample toilet rolls in a very clean bathroom! the...

I booked this B&B as it was close to where my daughter and soninlaw were camping. I stayed one night and that was enough! My grand daughter came to sleep with me as I was in a twin room. She was very excited to be sleeping in a bed!! Well the plumbing was very loud for a start and the...

After 6 other phone calls to B&Bs that had no vacancies we had little choice but to accept the £95 per night offer for a double room here (it was 5.30pm by then!). All was going well until we went to bed and the en-suite fan refused to turn off. Being tired we went off to a disturbed sleep, until...

Immaculately clean. Good sized rooms and well located. Friendly staff and good breakfast. Shame that there is no longer a functional restaurant. The temperamental plumbing made it very difficult, if not impossible, to get the shower to a consistent temperature. No morning paper offered. A little pricy for a B&B but altogether we enjoyed our stay.

We found the Worgret Manor hotel very charming,we stayed in room no.4. The room was spotless but the bath is small so watch out, only one toilet roll supplyed. It took ages for the water to get hot. It was good to have an adjoining kids room with bunk beds. The room was very quiet due the the secondary double...

The Worgret Manor Hotel is a little out in the country but well worth the effort to travel there. It is a bright clean comfortable hotel. The reception area is welcoming and is the owners who are very friendly along with their staff. My room was very tastefully decorated, clean comfortable bed. I had breakfast there which was excellent, from...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Worgret Manor is a traditional Georgian manor house nestled in the heart of the Dorset countryside. The historic grounds on which it stands are mentioned in the 13th century Magna Carta. We offer en-suite accommodation including flat screen T.V's with Freeview, complimentary tea/coffee making facilities, free Wi-Fi, private off-road parking and of course full English breakfast. We have a comfortable, sun lit seating area in the lobby which is perfect for browsing the daily newspaper. During the summer months you can enjoy a tea, coffee or even breakfast in the patio courtyard. We are in the heart of Hardy country surrounded by beautiful Dorset countryside. Attractions close by include Monkey World, Bovington Tank Museum, Corfe Castle, Lulworth Cove and Lulworth Castle with it's hugely popular annual music event "Camp Bestival". We are just one mile from the Saxon town of Wareham which has a good selection of restaurants, cafes, bars and pubs. The town is one of the gateways to the Purbecks and the Jurassic coast line, England's first World heritage site. Wareham's mainline railway station (to Waterloo) is just 2 miles away and the heritage Purbeck line which will run between Wareham and Swanage opens shortly. A warm and friendly welcome awaits you. ... more   less
