Only stayed one night. Didn't eat in the restaurant. But my single room was delightful. Recently refurbished I'd guess with quality in mind. Small paved garden at the back. One bar encompassing 'public' and 'lounge'. Separate unremarkable dining room.

Great food well cooked with very helpful staff. Seems all food is cooked to order and fresh. Would highly recommend for couples and families. Lots of room with bar, restaurant and outside area. It has its own car park.

We called in here whilst visiting Sturminster and had lunch. It was a hard choice as there was so many tasty dishes on offer. I had baked Brie and salad and it was one of the best lunches I have had for ages. My husband had faggots whic he said were delicious also. The staff were very attentive and friendly...

Stayed for one night and will definitely stay again when in the area. Lovely room, friendly welcome, great food, fast wifi, what's not to like. I wasn't sure which local beer to have with my evening meal and the barman offered me a small sample of each, quality touch.

Lovely location in a nice village. Hotel is above a Pub and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Room (#2) was very spacious (double and single bed) and the en-suite was done to a high standard (only issue was the square toilet seat). Quite a lot of car traffic outside but the extra glazing helped to block out a...

The gin and tonics are perfectly made too! The bottles of water in the room are a lovely touch and the people are really nice. Thank you! The...

Lovely looking building outside gives the impression that the inside will be as nice and attractive. This is not so. Bar dark and dingy. Mismatched tables and worn out chairs. Big room with echoy floors. Never seen the open fire lit like it used to be. Bar staff with no personality, no atmosphere in the place at all. No food...
