We were made very welcome by Carol with tea and biscuits. Our room was charming with a pretty decked terrace and very well appointed en suite. Breakfasts were delicious with extensive choices and very efficiently presented on a trolley to our room. We enjoyed our two night stay and thoroughly recommend Heatherbell Cottage. We hope to return..when we returned to...

We enjoyed our stay at Heatherbell Cottage; the room was well appointed although a little cramped (as we were the only people staying we wondered why we hadn't been given the much bigger room adjacent). However, the owners were friendly and the breakfast is superb- we ate ours on our terrace- a very nice touch.

The Heatherbell Cottage is a beautiful B&B with a great location. We were greeted by Carol who offered us a welcome pot of tea. It was such a lovely welcome and it felt like we had met an old friend. We stayed for only two nights - unfortunately. I would have loved to stay longer in the city just because...

The first phone call enquiring about rooms, it sounded like it was an inconvenience having customers. I gave it the benefit of the doubt, perhaps she was having a bad day? Not so, this was the general theme during my stay, and so being served breakfast in one's room fits with her attidude towards her customers...which seems like a pain...

The breakfast was one of the best I have had in any B&B I have stayed on,so if you are in westbay and need somewhere to stay...

I have stayed at Heatherbell Cottage a few times before and need to share that it has the best breakfast ever, bar none. The proprietor Carol is really friendly and has organised things in a brilliant way so that you can come and go as you please without disturbing her or her family. She had really done her homework for...

Stayed at the Heatherbell Cottage for 4 days,3 nights as part of our Summer break. Arrived and was greeted by Carol who was lovely and friendly and made us tea. The room was small but efficient and had everything we needed. The bathroom was very small with the sink outside. Wasn't too keen on that. The breakfast was delish! Served...

Room 3 - very cramped for the price - the use of a decked area helped but for more than 1 night or during inclement weather this room would be unsatisfactory and the "last resort." Excellent breakfast delivered on a trolly by a very helpful owner. Safe parking and a short walk to the harbour area. Over looks "mobile home...

We decided to have two nights away on friday morning. I found Heatherbell Cottage on line and decided it was for us. We arrived at 8.30pm and were greeted by Carol and John. I liked them both straight away which was a good sign. Carol made us a pot of tea and a Cafetiere of coffee with biscuits as soon...
