This is our first visit to Dorset and finding somewhere to stay was difficult, some of the prices they want for a holiday rental down here are ridiculous (this is why we tend to go abroad most of the time). After many hours of searching we came across the White House in between Bridport and West Bay. This is a...

I have stayed twice at The White House in Bridport and would happily stay here again. The bedrooms and overall facilities have a feeling the real care has been taken to make them comfortable. The folks are friendly and you are made to feel welcome at breakfast - which is of a very good quality. The nearby pub is good...

I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. Steve was friendly, funny and cooks up a mean breakfast. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, the shower was powerful and the location was just right. Job done.

We booked this B & B at the last minute as it was the only place available in the West Bay area The first problem is finding the parking for this establishment which is to the rear but access is not shown anywhere, eventually asked a local who laughed and said yes it's impossible to find, second problem is that...

So I'm a hotelier and want a night in West Bay...stay away 3/4 nights a week so nothing new about me looking for somewhere nice to stay, and local to a village or town matters loads. Booking.com is one of my favourite sights so I book online and pay £75 for a bnb for 2 folk in a guest house...normally stay...

We were disappointed in this b&b. It was expensive for what it delivered. Our room was small and comfortable enough, but it didn't feel clean - the carpet looked filthy - not sure if it was or if it was due to it being stained and marked. Either way it wasn't of an acceptable standard. The plumbing in the bathroom...

The accommodation was a little tired (the bathroom more than a little). Had a twin room and the beds were comfortable and clean, The bathroom was noisy (due to macerator system). The breakfast was very good. There is no sign for the parking which is at the back down a small access road. The actual parking area is difficult (probably...

We had a very enjoyable stay at the White House last month. The State Room was spacious and clean. The breakfast cooked by Steve was excellent and we would highly recommend the black pudding. There is a pub just a couple of minutes walk away, which was very handy after a long day searching for fossils on Charmouth Beach.

The place itself is lovely, cosy and homely but not with interfering hosts like in sone other establishments. The double room my partner and I stayed in was pretty small, but adequate. A sign for the car park would be helpful instead of driving around, but felt car was safe. Breakfast was yummy, very generous on portions, I felt guilty...

The White House is a relaxed and informal family run bed and breakfast. Situated in the heart of the Jurassic Coast, England's first natural world heritage site, a unique 95 mile stretch of coast line. We are just a few minutes walk to the town centre and historic Harbour, and the fabulous breath taking Jurassic beaches, but also far enough away from the hustle and bustle of city life that you can relax and enjoy yourself.
