This is a very nice pub situated in a tiny village with an interesting history. It is a part of Dorset completely unknown to us, and it was a leap in the dark booking a meal. We were agreeably surprised! Fortunately the evening was warm so we were able to sit in the garden with a drink and which has...

We first visited the Three Horseshoes in 1990 and this was only our second time back since then. Glad to say it has improved on my distant memory. The room was spacious, clean with great views across the hills and very peaceful. The menu in the restaurant was fairly short but the cooking exemplary (we later found out that the...

We visited this pub while on holiday, its gets quite busy with regulars. The meal we had was nice, the service was ok. They let dogs in the pub aswell which is helpful and they also have a small outside area. The inside bar area of the pub is not all that big so you are probably best to book...

I didn't stay in this hotel, just popped in for food as was in the area. Lovely looking pub from the outside. Great views from the back patio (not for the feint hearted or like me if you are scared of heights) Serves Palmers ales, need I say more. Landlord & Landlady were very accommodating and really nice to chat...

Excellent value, nice sized room for 3 people, comfortable bed and good food, which made good use of local produce. Would definitely recommend for an overnight stay or a few days. Very pretty village with lovely local walks and views.

This is one of those pubs that you, or at least I, always hope to find. Comfortable, at home feeling. A real local. No Farrow and Ball paint to seen. Excellent local beer. The crab starter was absolutely delicious - da morire - as the Italians say. How's that for pretentious? Anyway moving on the food is top notch gastro...

We booked a table at the Three Horseshoes for our family of six with two children on a Friday evening and we were delighted. The hilltop village of Powerstock in West Dorset is very pretty nestling high up on a hillside with the pub garden facing south west. There was no children's menu but the chef was happy to cook...

Once again we have had a great lunch here. Fantastic food again, innovative menu (wonderful spicy chick pea dish with an egg on it). Really good and speedy service despite our late arrival time. And superb views from the terrace on a sunny day. .......

If you fancy a drive out from Bridport, around 4 miles, you will be well rewarded with a delightful pub and excellent food. The owners ran a restaurant in France for 10 years and the meals certainly reflect that. From Dorset snails and beef and Guinness pie to Delicious Hake and chips, everything was fresh and well cooked by the...
