Had a delicious cream team with 2 warm scones each, homemade jam and lots of clotted cream when we arrived. Our room was very spacious, lovely comfortable large bed and nice toiletries. The gardens were lovely and there is a large covered terraced area with outside heaters and rugs. Had some drinks an canapés before dinner in the lounge -...

We quite enjoyed this hotel. The rooms were nicely appointed. We were a short drive to Bridport. Despite some confusion with meals, etc at dinner - when the correct drinks and meals arrived they were very nice. Most of the staff were very friendly and the majority were new at the time we visited so we expected a few teething...

A booking made for D, B&B at short notice which was a lovely treat en route to the Dorset coast. Fantastic old building oozing charm and style. The staff were all lovely. We had a delicious supper in the beautiful and cosy old restaurant - there is a conservatory but this looked less appealing. Our room was in the courtyard...

We stayed one night at this charming small hotel. All the staff friendly and efficient. Our room was a good size and nicely furnished. We enjoyed our welcome tea and biscuits in the sun in the nice garden. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant, my mackerel starter was great and my wife thought her fish and chips main...

We stayed in the smallest room, which was all that was available on a busy Saturday evening. It was attractively presented and well appointed and we slept well in the comfy bed. The food service was charming, if by some young members of staff, a little inexperienced, but their natural friendliness and willingness to please more than made up for...

We were upgraded to a "superior" room which was a nice suprise. The room had a wow factor when we entered and had a jacuzzi bath! It was spacious and clean although not sure why there was wallpaper in the bathroom. Not a good combo after a shower (which was very powerful and relaxing). We sat outside and enjoyed a...

Superb little hotel! We had a gorgeous four poster room! The bed was very very comfy. We only stayed here for one night but enjoyed a divine meal in the restaurant. Food was excellent. Everything about this lovely place had been though about. It was luxury but relaxed. We will definitely be back for a longer stay soon!

We spent a lovely summer's evening here with friends. We had pre-dinner drinks in the walled garden, followed by dinner in the outdoor covered terrace (with outdoor heaters and blankets available if it got chilly). (There is a choice of other areas to eat in, including the more formal restaurant and conservatory). The staff were attentive and friendly, and the...

We stayed here on a Sunday night, we arrived about 4 and were told by the lovely receptionist that we had been upgraded to a 4 poster room. This was great, ecause we were there celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary ( totally unbeknown to the hotel). The room was very, very nice, a huge bed, excellent bathroom and Moulton Brown...
