Well, we did lunch and a cream tea later. We can't comment on the "stay" part although that is clearly possible! However, we had a delightful light lunch (crab cakes and caesar salad) in the sunny garden which has wonderful views over the mill pond, the Abbey Tithe Barn, St Catherine's chapel on the hill and the coastline beyond. The...

My partner and I had our wedding here in September and it was fantastic. Jonathan, Natasha and the team at Abbey House did everything to make our day special. The food was incredible and the location sold it to us! After the wedding, we stayed in the guest house and the room was lovely - we wished we could have...

Lovely two night stay at Abbey House. Staff were delightful - as was afternoon tea on a rainy afternoon. Great spot to base yourself from if you're touring round Dorset seeing the sights. (We had a lovely - if long! - walk to Chesil Beach and to the Subtropical Gardens.) Room was traditional and absolutely charming. The furnishings aren't new,...

We stayed in Abbotsbury for only a night + loved it. Jonathan + his team keep a (mightily) clean house + the service is amazing. Animals + countryside are gorgeous. Would highly recommend this B+B. Breakfast very good + local restaurants provide well!

We often stop off here for a coffee break whilst making our way from Honiton to Bournemouth by the coastal route. We have visited five times this year so far. We love the little summer house in the garden and unwind here for half an hour over coffee or a cream tea. But recently we decided to stay overnight B&B...

Travelling through Abbotsbury and with a thirst we sought a coffee house. We refused to pay £3.50 to park, and carried on down a backstreet where we found The Abbey House with free parking. Wonderful location, and extremely pleasant staff. Nice cup of coffee served without delay. We decided there and then that if we visit the illuminations in The...

Would advise anyone with children NOT to visit this place . Which is a shame a it is beautiful and it is right by the farm . The owner was very rude on arrival and impatient, when taking our order and made us felt very unwelcome . Very child unfriendly . We all felt very uncomfortable. We always visit Abbotsbury and...
