We stopped off here for a midday lunch on way back home from Dawlish and I have to say we were so pleased we choose this pub. Why, well I ordered the hunters chicken and have to say it was perfectly cooked and as for portions were very generous with plenty of chips too. My wife had the gammon steak...

Stopped off here on the way to Cornwall. What a great find, good portions of home cooked food, very reasonably priced and friendly service. We both had the veggie lasagne, food came quickly and was piping hot. Just what we needed to break the journey up.

We have had a saturday lunch here a while ago which was good so thought we would try the Sunday roast. The beef was chewy, two of us gave up. Potatoes and parsnips bland and not crisp. Other veggies nondescript. Maybe this was just a change of chef. The pub itself is lovely and we hope to come back in...

Today (12 Feb 2016) I nipped in to The White Hart initially because I needed the Loo!!! Decided I better eat as I knew I wouldn't cook when I got home. Ordered the Scampi & Chips in a basket for £5.50. It was superb: the chips were a light golden colour and cooked to perfection! The Scampi was equally well...

Staying nearby for the night we needed somewhere for an evening meal and popped into this local pub and were pleasantly surprised To start with there is plenty of convenient onsite parking and then the pub itself has been completely refurbished to a high standard while maintaining an old world atmosphere. There was a varied menu and specials as well...

My wife and myself along with her parents ate here last night. Mum had freshly baked home-made Cottage Pie - wonderful, Dad and Iz had the Hunters Chicken - very tasty, and I had Fish and Chips - scrumptious. We understand that new management are taking over now now. My advice to them would be to keep the food just...

We stayed at this venue over night en-route to our holiday. Being on the main road, it was ideally placed and there are car parking facilities on site. The draw back being that the noise from passing traffic cannot be ignored. The room was adequate for our needs, though a little chilly. Tea and coffee making facilities were well stocked. bathroom...

We recently visited on a fri nite, it was quite busy and there didn't seem enough staff working to cover the needs of the customers! The lady behind the bar seemed very nice, we ordered fish and a pasta dish, the fish was over done and the pasta sauce was off as it was made from cream! I asked to...
