This is a wonderful hotel. We have been returning for over 30 years. Immediately feel relaxed as we walk through the doors. There are a good choice of rooms but the ones that overlook the sea are great. The staff are friendly and looked after us well. It was good service in the

Not all rooms have walk in showers. We requested a walk in shower, and were allocated one on arrival. However, that room had no balcony. We moved after the first night to a room on floor 3 which had a balcony, great views, walk in shower, sitting area and fridge, BUT we paid an £80 per night supplement! I hope this helps.

We were told yes, but lots of beaches at Salcombe that were dog friendly. The hotel has a wonderful list of dog friendly beaches.

The hotel is so professional that if you do not want to be in a room close to a dog just tell them. In the times that we have stayed we have never heard a dog bark or cause any problem

Yes, the hotel has lifts. The ground floor may be accessed via the garage entrance, so don't be put off by the front steps. There may also be lift access from the lower parking lot - I have not explored there. We had a sea-view room on 1st floor with lift access to that floor. The same lift also went down to the swimming pool area.
