We have been searching for a traditional cream tea in this part of Devon and now we've found the perfect one. Definitely find this place and sample the fabulous afternoon teas (homemade warm scones, cakes, lovely drinks). So very accommodating and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Even opened for us on a day they would normally be closed...

We have just got back for another excellent visit to South Allington House. The accommodation was, as always, clean and comfortable and cosy warm for this time of year. Everyone at South Allington House couldn't have been more helpful and friendly. In particular this time when we had trouble with our car they couldn't have been of more help; so...

Been coming here the last week of the school holiday for the last 5 years with my friend and her family who have been coming here since she was small. The Bakers and brilliant owners and can never do enough for you if you need anything. Lovely campsite though the only thing I'm not keen on is the shower block...

A lovely cream tea was enjoyed by out large family group, with the friendly proprietor providing attentive service. The clotted cream was of good quality and there were ample amounts of two flavours of jam. The setting is heavenly; luscious green lawns are interspersed with well kept flower beds and parkland trees.

Stopped off for cream teas. Despite being close to the stated end of serving, the gentleman serving us was very helpful and said that if we needed anything at all to just ask. Very nice to return after four years and to find the cream teas excellent and the location just as tranquil as I remembered it! Only negative was...

We're experienced campers and have found this to be one of our new favourite sites. The grounds and the house are beautiful and set within an inspiring rural valley. The camping facilities are basic but totally adequate for the size and location of the site and spotlessly cleaned every morning. This is a back-to-basics site but for those who still...

South Allington House isn't just B&B! I have just spent the weekend here with 32 family and friends for a 30th birthday celebration. The self catering cottages are excellent - clean and spacious. The grounds are very well maintained and large enabling us to play outdoor games galore. We had a large party BBQ (BBQs provided by the owners). Great...

We go every year to Allington house, the man who runs the place is friendly and helpful. The house is located above a beautiful lannacombe bay. The annual fête is a happy and warm event and the surrounding hills are great places for hikes and views. I can't speak for accommodation in the house as I always go camping with...

Friendly family campsite with decent showers, communal fridges and freezers and even ice blocks to borrow. Communal washing up area, with washing machine and dryer. Even had plugs to recharge electronic devices. Rural camping with a few perks!

We have just returned from a couple of nights camping at Allington House, we were lucky enough to have the campsite to ourselves! Wonderful views and a really lovely area. Would just like to say that although the showers and facilities were good, I felt it could do with a facelift or updating, also a good clean. The showers were...
