Stayed here for 5 nights at the end of September and had a really good stay - very warm welcome, nice room (Tarka) which whilst not having the spectacular views enjoyed by the front rooms was comfy spacious and quiet. Very dog friendly and food was good (and plentiful). Breakfasts were good and, on my wife's birthday included toast with...

Room was spacious, ensuite and clean. We had the 2nd floor room and the stairs were on the steepish side, and would not pass Building regulations if built today. It is however close to the beach. Breakfast was served in the bar.

Came here for a family meal. Instow is one of my favourite places in Devon. Had a lovely walk along the beach with our dog and came to the Wayfarer for a bite to eat. My in-laws had the roast dinner, looked lovely loads of vegetables and meat. I had the chicken burger and chips which was very tasty. Nice...

The Wayfarer wouldn't win any prizes for character or olde worlde charm, but it served straightforward pub grub that was well cooked, and tasty, at reasonable prices. I enjoyed my fish and chips there far more than I enjoyed my meal at the nearby Boathouse. My only gripe was with the beer. Two bitters on - the ubiquitous Doom Bar,...

Thank you for your review. I'm glad you enjoyed your meal with us! Having a small bar, we are limited to only having two real ales on at any one time. Doombar is the locals favourite and very popular so we have that one on all year round. The other pump changed month to month. We often have Exmoor Ales,...

Pleasant enough looking little place tucked away off the main seafront and more than okay for a drink or two in nice surroundings, but not overly impressed with the food. We popped in for a drink on the day we arrived as our house wasn't ready and the menu looked appealing so we booked for an evening meal on the...

Hi, Apologies for your experience with us. We do strive to make sure the beds are how people request them, so I'll look into the emails and see why it wasn't transferred to our system and to ensure staff are aware of the importance of this so it doesn't happen again. During the past month, all the carpets have been...

Visited here with a friend for dinner. The pub wasn't very busy and we found seating outside easily on a lovely day. The menu had a lot of variety to choose from, pub was clean and tidy and bar staff friendly. We both chose burgers which were excellently cooked and tasted delicious! I would return again and am happy with...
