We've just had another great stay at The Crown, having not been there for a number of years. It still has the same family-run feel to it. Nothing is too much trouble for all the staff. We stayed in Room 5, which is large and overlooks the village green. But it is the bathroom that makes it - it is...

Ate here twice whilst staying in Exford for a short break. Good choice of food for the gluten free diner. Not the cheapest pub to dine in, but good value for money as the food was excellent. Trying the local gins was a must - I can highly recommend the Wicked Wolf! Friendly staff and surrounded by locals, always a...

Our food is all freshly prepared and cooked by our chefs so dietary requirements is never a problem, I am gluten intolerant so know how difficult eating out can be and therefore have made an effort to adjust many dishes to gluten free options where possible. Exford is literally in the centre of Exmoor. Situated a ten minute drive west from Wheddon Cross on the main route from Tiverton or Minehead. The village is surrounded by steep hills and is at the foot of the iconic Dunkery Beacon and open moorland. The Crown hotel is inviting with very friendly and helpful patrons and staff. Old world...

Well placed for local travel, walks etc . Excellent hotel, very pleasant atmosphere and well looked after. In particular the standard of food in the restaurant would take a lot of beating, and for anyone wanting gluten free meals their was a very wide choice. To sum up, a first class weekend break, and a highly recommended hotel.

This is a great hotel in a wonderful location. The proximity to the walks of Exmoor makes it a haven for walkers like ourselves. We were warmly welcomed and served tasty hot food in the bar. The room was traditionally and tastefully decorated and the en-suite was clean and functional. Breakfast food and service were both excellent. We had a...

I came here on bank holiday saturday with my P.A.T. dog for a drink. It was very busy and I needed to sit down but was told that 'I couldn't sit there, or there......' presumably because the tables were going to be occupied. My only choice was to sit outside in the near dark with lots of traffic going past....

This was day four of a birthday celebration for my wife and a surprise overnight stay in Exford.
