Warm welcome for two adults and three small dogs. Excellent choice of cider, ales, lager and gin! Food was superb, reasonably priced for standard. Car park next to hotel. We ate in the bar side, but this was not your usual pub fayre. Very tasty and lovely selection.

We visited the crown for Sunday lunch. Having left it a bit late and not booked we were having trouble finding somewhere to eat and then we found the crown! Food was plentiful and delicious best roast we have eaten out for ages. Worth a visit set in lovely exmoor village.

Thank you for your review and comments. Our freshly cooked roast dinner is always popular, with it's home made yorkshire pudding and proper crispy roast potatoes. A walk round our lovely village afterwards is a nice end to the afternoon especially when the weather was as lovely as it was. We look forward to seeing you again on your next...

I stayed one night. They opened early for me, let me check out late. The room was very comfortable, tranquil. The place reeks of character. From this experience I certainly recommend The Crown wholeheartedly. If you visit often create a relationship and be part of the town by meeting the locals here.

Thank you for your lovely comments and it was a pleasure to have you stay with us. Being a 17th Century Coaching Inn means the Crown has plenty of character and the locals add to the wonderful atmosphere, especially in our cosy country bar. Hopefully you will be able to stay longer on your next visit. Best wishes - Sara

From beginning to end our stay at The Crown was absolutely excellent! We have stayed for 2 nights this weekend with our dog. As soon as we walked in on a freezing cold day we were greeted by a roaring fire and lovely warm room. Our room was very comfortable and clean with modern bathroom. We are both nights in...

Set in the centre of Exmoor with the advantage of being in a small village. There is a local shop a couple of doors down from the hotel where we were able to purchase sandwiches for our packed lunch and another pub within walking distance if you want a change of scene in the evening. The hotel is comfortable and...

We had an evening meal here after a good day's walking. Nice atmosphere , good service and very tasty food. We'll be back. A proper menu...not reheats from a freezer! The belly pork was particularly well cooked and the side accompaniments were great.
