We've probably stayed here around a dozen times over the years, really enjoying each visit. And it's not just Andy's super breakfasts that bring us back! - it's the whole package. In a great location overlooking the train track and sea, three of the four bedrooms have lovely sea views. The rooms are really comfortable with plenty of tea and...

I stayed over at the Marine Tavern just after Christmas with my daughter & her boyfriend. The welcome that we received from 'Mine Hosts' Andy & Hilary couldn't have been friendlier! Nothing was too much trouble for them. The beer was excellent, very well kept by someone who genuinely understands ale. The food was good honest pub grub and was served...

Family of 4 meal. Friendly staff in family friendly pub with dedicated family area so kids are safe. I ordered chicken kebab & chips, came on a large plate with plenty of salad & chips with a selection of dips. My fiance ordered rump steak which was a generous portion with all the trimmings you would expect. All food tasted...

If you want a good pub atmosphere he. His is for you. Well looked after ale and even though the wine list is small the Pinot Grigio is lovely. Dogs welcome and my dog had lots of fusses. We returned later for a meal and it was fantastic good old fashioned pub grub. All bar staff have been super friendly...

If you are not fussed about sitting in modern surroundings but would rather pay for decent food in good portions this is a great place. Massive chip portions, super chilli, lovely burger. We will go there again, highly recommend.

Just been for a mid dog walk meal. We often visit the marine, some times eat but always enjoy the atmosphere and great welcome. Just had excellent food, great quality ingredients and perfectly cooked. Staff always make you feel at home, adding to the already homely feel. Chilli is a must have as is everything on the menu! Worth a...

By far the friendliest pub in dawlish.Andy and Hilary are the landlord and lady , they are welcoming and charming. Local ales and home cooked food . Never had a poor lunch or dinner. The locals who frequented the public house are also friendly

Went as a family for some lunch. Very generous portions and cooked really well. The place itself is dated but don't let that put you off as if it's value food your after then please look beyond it. The staff are friendly too. We will go back.

Very friendly. Good pub grub. Ham egg and chips delicious. Family friendly. Would definitely visit again . Bar staff chatty which I like. Clean and tidy. Close to station and beach . I believe the pub is looking at gaining some winter custom . I hope they don't change too much xx
