Staying locally and wanted a quick relaxing meal. Lovely friendly staff. Great service and wonderful relaxed atmosphere. We loved the New England decor. Good menu at reasonable prices. All three of us loved our choices. The steaks cooked to perfection. Everyone appeared happy and relaxed who were eating there. Will be extending our visits in the future to include Sunday...

Signs outside attached to the building, and also on an " A " board next to the road, clearly state Restaurant and Bar Menu, the latter being what we required, but upon entering the establishment and then asking for the Bar Menu we were very surprised to be told there was not one available,so we left. !

The food was excellent, best beef dish I have had in years. Simple menu but range of options to suit all tastes. Lovely environment and helpful staff, well worth a visit. Ps don't be put off by the outside, when you get in it's great.!

We had a great stay, the room felt luxurious and the breakfasts were of an extremely high standard. The quality of everything they do, from their bathroom products, to fresh produce & friendly staff is excellent. We'll definitely be going back!

Came here to cheer up December and we had a fantastic time. Rooms are a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it, and the food is fantastic. Definitely splash out and get the cooked breakfast - divine!

Stayed here for one night in November and the fact that I was the only person staying should have told me something. Rooms are ok but not worth the £95.00 that they charge and especially as this only includes a continental breakfast! If you want a cooked breakfast you need to pay more!! This was compounded by the fact that...

Staying for one night we extended to a second as the food and the welcome from the staff where both great. The rooms where comfortable with great showers, the only downside and it's a slight one is its proximity to the road but the moor stretches out behind the property given easy access to Widgery Cross and the open moor...

We lucked out booking this charming little inn at the last moment on our way back from Cornwall. Well worth spending an extra night breaking he journey here. Right on the edge of the moor, this place comes in to its own from the autumn with huge log fires and quirky little dining areas as well as a lovely new...

I loved our visit to the Dartmoor inn. After it being highly recommended by friends. We had waited for ages to be able to visit. Every dish was tasty, and staff were all trained to an excellent standard. There was something for everyone on the menu. Thank you. We will return....

We went back there again today after a lovely walk at Brentor up to the church. There is seating outdoors but we opted to sit inside. Dogs are allowed inside as well as outside. Once again we were made to feel really welcome despite the fact we did not book (It is best to book as they are very busy)....

“'Toile' was a good size and plenty of room for me to work in it. Very comfortable bed. The room overlooks a main road that was busier than we expected it to be, but, it was never a problem.”
