    Excellent place to stay. Cycle friendly and an excellent stopping point on the trail along the old SR railway line. A beautifully cared for old inn (several hundred years old) with great rooms. The food is superb. We had a fantastic meal in the inn...More

    Lots of character. Dog friendly with plenty of walks very close. Tasty food large portions daily specials and good value for money. I had scampi and chips and my husband had the curry. Both were excellent.

    Everything was excellent about this pub. The only problem we had was the over bath shower was not fitted correctly leading to having to stand almost on the taps to have a shower. Furthermore the flow was quite low. However, there was always hot water...More

    We thank you for your comments, which have been duly noted. We have been waiting for works to be completed before with refresh the rooms. Unfortunately this has been delay again but we are going ahead with some of the more pressing repairs and re-decorations....More

    Dreadful - leaking roof with fungal patch on bedroom ceiling, peeling wallpaper. Shower pipework needs repair. Common parts - carpets need replacing. The worst thing was the terrible motor/pump? noise from the kitchen area which kept me awake until the early hours. Food - average...More

    I can confirm from personal experience that this Inn is dog friendly. I don't know the answer to your other questions. Why not email them directly? I had a query and they answered.
