We stayed at Stickwick cottage for a week and had a fantastic time. The place is perfectly set up for families, with a cosy child-proofed cottage (babygates, bed guards etc provided) and large gardens with lots of toys and climbing frames for kids. Our children really enjoyed helping Alison feed the animals in the morning, and being able to stroke...

A welcoming house and next door cottage, for fourteen, aged 7-81 in February! We had a great family reunion here. Even sunshine was supplied which blessed this south-facing house. Excellent for self catering too. Alison is a very helpful 'hostess' and had thought of everything.

Had a wonderful week staying at Stickwick, with 5 other families, taking over the whole premises. I was staying in the cottage, which was very cosy with lovely views. the owners were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed helping Alison feed the animals, an opportunity she offered every mornings. I would definitely recommend it.

We stayed 5days in the end of January. We had really a good time even if the weather wasn't nice. We highly recommend the cottage for the experience of enjoying the proximity of the animals. Feeding animals is fantastic for kids!

We stayed in Stickwick Farmhouse for a long weekend as a family of 7 - 6 adults and one toddler - and a small dog. We had gathered in January to celebrate our family Christmas and Alison at Stickwick could not have been more helpful. The farmhouse had been decorated for Christmas for us, even though it was January, and...

We hired all three properties for 20 of us to stay in while we attended a nearby wedding. Ages ranged from 2 to 50. There was plenty of room for us all to spread out and the beds could be configured in a number of ways to fit everyone in. The house itself was lovely. Very comfortable but not too...

Our 5th stay in this location for a big annual 'gathering of the clan' in November. Any rental that can seat 23 for dinner and have the kitchen facilities to match must deserve 5 stars. Of course it rained every day and the damn cockerel woke us up each morning and the trains back to London were cancelled due to...

We heard about Stickwick from family in Devon after we were let down by our booking agent of 15 years (double booked!) and less than 72 hours before departure... so we'd called Stickwick really late, not expecting much... by a miracle the bank holiday weekend was available...and yes they could accommodate our party of nine plus dog! Linda could not...

We booked this cottage quite late on into the summer holidays. There are 3 available and we stayed in the smaller of the 3 (Stickwick Cottage) which was more than suitable for myself, my husband and son (age 12) and daughter (age 13). It looked lovely online and in a great location for exploring and access to attractions. Boy oh...

The best week away I've had, by far! Farmhouse was beautiful and homely, Richard and Alison made us all feel so welcome and the children really felt part of the farm feeding the animals every day. Close to many attractions if you want them but the most idyllic setting if you want to relax and unwind and hear you children...
