We wanted an autumn one night break before the weather set in and how lucky we were to have found Silver Cottage. For £40 per person, we had car parking service, hot water bottle (even though the room was warm), a kitchen and lounge, fruit and English breakfast followed by differing breads. The cottage is up a narrow lane but walking...

We were visiting friends and happened on this B&B Having recently stayed in a 5* Hotel I would rate this as superior in every way. The breakfast wasgreat and although we did not wish for a cooked meal we noted the quality of the meals served to others

I arrived in Braunton and orienting myself to lovely St. Brannock's Church (founded by St. Brannock in 550 AD) finally arrived at nearby Silver Cottage after a tiring 15-mile hike on the SouthWest Coast Path. Upon arrival I received a warm welcome from a very friendly Sophie, who soon brought me a pot of tea and a slice of cake....

We were blown away by Sophie's and Matt's hospitality. Can't recommend this lovely little cottage enough! Will definitely be returning for more yummy breakfasts and to explore the area a bit more. Getting greeted with a hot water bottle after a long journey from London was such a treat.

We're very "jealous" of everyone, who stays here for more days than we did at our Hiking Tour on the first part of SWCP - which is the only reason we didn't stay longer. Even if we had to add some steps to the strenous stage from Woolacombe to Braunton, it was worth it - lovely hosts, perfect care about...

Sophie was the perfect host of this idyllic cottage in the prettiest part of Braunton. Apart from agreeing with all the other superlatives I've read here, I must add 'the best gardener' - never seen better fruit, veg, chickens, bees and more in their beautiful garden. How do they find the time ?

We had walked a section of the SWCP and arriving at this destination was like putting the icing on the cake. You'll meet a charming family, eat a delicious breakfast, sleep in a most comfortable bed and be made to feel so welcome you'll feel like one of the family.

Amazing stay at this beautiful cottage. Greeted with tea and cake on arrival on our own little patio... Just lovely. Room and facilities spotless and so homely. Made to feel very welcome by Sophie and Matthew...nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was excellent. This truly is the best bed and breakfast we have stayed in, and will definitely return.
