Really friendly folks. Tasty pub food and a good breakfast. Room-plenty of space and storage; comfy bed; clean and tidy; good shower; well-worn and probably needs decorating/a make-over. Good value though. 5 minutes from Bantham beach.

Arriving at the Sloop Inn is like arriving in a coastal haven. This part of the UK is stunning. But sadly that's where the highlights end for the Inn. The rooms are tired and dated and in need of at least a lick of paint. The pub is a lovely old-world drinkers' pub but sadly not great for food-lovers. It...

Good beer, excellent service, nice friendly people, quality food, nicely decorated. The only fault I think would be the uninviting beer garden. Not much can be done due to its position in the village. Can't have everything.

Good grub, friendly pub. Hadn't booked but they squeezed us in. Nice seafood, try the seafood platter starter & sole main We will be back Careful on parking & getting in/out of the pub, very tight turning. Proper pub & worth the visit.

Had a fantastic Sunday lunch here in this little gem. I can't recommend the food enough, mussels to start, plentiful to say the least and cooked to perfection. The Sunday lunches were superb, I had the rare roast beef, it melted in my mouth! Massive Yorkshire puddings and roast potatoes. My partner had the pork and it was just as...

This is a lovely village pub with a lovely buzz making a great atmosphere. Food is nice. Dogs welcome. Nice stop over pub on a walk from Batham to Aveton Gifford. Close to the beach and cliff walks. Not much parking on site.

Visited The Sloop Inn with my boyfriend on a Saturday. Parking available, nice atmosphere and very generous portions! Definitely looking forward to eating here again because our food was lovely and the service was friendly. Brilliant location just a short stroll away from Bantham beach which made a perfect day out. After realising I'd left my credit card there I...

We walked from Thurlestone along the coast to Bantham and decided to walk into the village. Found this excellent pub. Had lovely roast and sweets large. Took two dogs. Pub very friendly and welcoming. Would certainly recommend.

My Fiancé and I visited just for a hot chocolate after a cold, wet and windswept walk on Bantham beach. We were made to feel welcome along with our wet dog, and had a delicious hit chocolate. It is warm and cosy inside and if we weren't in a hurry we would have happily spent the afternoon having some food...
