This Hotel does not look as advertised. It is dirty old and I was in a room with a dripping bath tap and that was quite annoying. I mentioned it but didn’t see need to push for repair as my stay was short. The bedding looked like it wasn’t changed after being used once. The bed linen had visible old stains. I registered a request on booking and I don’t think they even saw it. The staff were quite friendly. Their breakfast is the best breakfast I have had in a while. Parking The parking is just pay parking behind the hotel. The hotel itself doesn’t seem to ave parking. Parking is payable on an app and not bad for a resort town. Will I use it again Despite it advertised as 3 star I honestly think this hotel must not be rated at all.
Stayed here for a week. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The staff particularly Jason in reception and Gabriel who looked after us at the bar were so helpful and friendly. The rooms were dated but added to the ambience of this charming hotel. Revere hotel is ideally situated with plenty of places to visit. We obtained a weekly bus pass which allowed us to visit most of the island. We wish all of the staff the best of luck in obtaining new employment. So sad that the hotel will be closing shortly due to a compulsory purchase order.
Was told by staff this hotel has been on a compulsory purchase order for the last ten years and is closing on the 1/11/21. I stayed for eleven days saw six rooms and slept in five of them, had water through the ceiling in one room, in another room the wind blew the window in had I not been in bed trying to sleep would have been killed/seriously hurt. There is no lift most rooms at least four flights of stairs, only outside area taken up by a small pool with a few metal table and chairs no room for any sun loungers Has a restaurant closed more than it was open only managed to eat there one night, the breakfast identical every day no variation. As the hotel closing a minimum of everything being done so glad to be home feel is a death trap with a death/serious accident waiting to happen…
Have just come back (23/9/21) having stayed 5nights at this hotel, and agree with Helen_Newport, that the staff at this hotel cannot do enough for you, and that the room was always spotless/clean &'tidy. After reading a few review's a couple of weeks prior to coming out, I was inclined to change hotels (& did in fact try to, - everywhere was full), but in the end stayed put. Yes, the hotel is one of Jersey's oldest, and yes, it closes for good end of October, and yes, there is lots of stairs up to the rooms (my main concern for my elderly mother having to walk up/down as many to room55), but glad we did NOT Change as it was one of the most friendly, charming hotels we have stayed in. There is a small pool at the back, (a nice little sun trap on the afternoon for a quick dip!), and a small bar and lounge area, buffet breakfast with lots of choices. Not far from the centre (a 15min stroll,) and 4min stroll to the promenade the other way. If you are staying here in the next few weeks, I can honestly say, that you will not find a hotel with a more friendly /helpful staff, despite it closing; they are helping you, - help them in their last few weeks.!😎 …
After reading updated reviews on here I wondered if I had booked the right place. No lift, tired and rundown, in need of upgrade and more. What we found was a spotless hotel with the most courteous and friendly staff who can't do enough for you despite the fact that at the end of October the hotel closes for good and they are all going to be out of work. We had a problem with our shower and reported it...room changed. Our towels were changed daily and the room was a comfortable size. Bathroom was small but did the job. Yes it is run down, yes it has it's problems but it is still a lovely place to stay.
