Toward the end of a wondeful (first) trip to Ireland we encountered a real gem. We were supposed to stay a few villages over but a series of circumstances led us to Tinakilly. Initially we were just interested in dinner, but soon found ourselves in love with the Estate and wanting to stay. The staff graciously accommodated us booking us...

This hotel is absolutely fabulous! We got a junior suite with a beautiful view. The shower had good water pressure and the wifi was reasonably strong. The bed was very comfortable and there was a nice sitting area. Breakfast was delicious and the dining area was quite pretty. The grounds were lovely and afforded us a pleasant stroll. Overall, the...

Stayed two nights here with my husband and small daughter. We stayed in a junior suite that was tucked into a corner of the house with the most stunning view of horses grazing and the Irish Sea. The room was furnished nicely with all sorts of antiques and there was plenty of room for all three of us. The bathroom...

Pros: Very very friendly & nice staff. Beautiful interior in the main old house. Pretty setting. Massive bedroom & 4 poster bed. Great breakfast served in a stunning breakfast room. Cons: Small gardens. Majority of bedrooms in a new extension that doesn't fully gel with the house. Need a car/taxi to get around, but just a short drive to Wicklow...

You would be hard pressed to find any problems with Tinakilly house. To start with the views, the gardens and the hotel itself are all stunning. The staff make you feel like it's a home from home and couldn't be more helpful, friendly or courteous. Everyone we came in in contact with knew what they were doing and there was...

This is a cute old hotel with a real old world feel about it and is very charming for that reason. I did not stay but twice have had their afternoon tea which is really very good and good value especially when compared with other establishments that charge 2 to 3 times the price and serve very mediocre food indeed....

Stayed here for one night and it was exactly as I expected, a grand house turned into a hotel. From the start, the long driveway up to the hotel was only wide enough for one car but room to pull over to let oncoming cars go by. The reception area brings you back to days of old and the theme...

We stayed here last week on the mid-week package with friends and all thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We could not believe how low the price was. From the time we arrived all the staff were extremely friendly and they could not do enough to make us feel at home. The food was excellent, with a great selection for breakfast. We...
