Jackie and Mervyn were excellent hosts! So helpful and kind. We only stayed the one night but I would go back in a heartbeat. Her traditional Irish breakfast was THE best that we had throughout our two week stay in Ireland! And I also dare to say that it was the best B & B we stayed in. So thank...

We had a lovely stay at the Ashdene Country Home. Jackie and Mervyn were very accommodating and flexible and were overall wonderful people. I found this place on TripAdvisor and it had fantastic reviews and now I know why. We arrived late around 8pm and Jackie made a great suggestion for dinner. Both mornings we had the choice of an...

We were greated by Jackie who offered us tea and coffee which was greatly appreciated. This was our first night in Ireland after an overnight flight and day of touring. Our room and bathroom was clean and bright and the breakfast was amazing with attention to detail. The house is a little out of town but there are pubs for...

The B&B run by Jacky & Mervyn is a beautiful little home right outside the very small village of Avoca. Jacky is a real professional; she's been doing this for decades. The room was perfect really. Small complimentary chocolates. Electric kettle with tea and coffee in the room. Parking was tight, but no real problem. The only negative was the...

Wished we had booked several nights here. Our room was charming, our welcome was warm and our breakfast was lovely. We truly felt blessed to stay with Jackie and Mervyn. The surrounding area was breathtaking. When we return to Ireland we will definitely stay here again. Thank you for having us!

I stayed one night in Oct 2015, in a double room with ensuite. Jacky met me when I arrived and offered me tea which was beautifully presented on a tray with home made carrot cake. My room was very comfortable, clean and warm. Furnishing and style is traditional and homely. They had plugs exactly where I wanted them and easy...

We stayed here for three nights in July, the hosts Jackie and Mervyn were so friendly we immediately felt part of the family. Their home was an excellent choice for visiting the magnificent Wicklow attractions. The room was large and had some nice touches to make us feel welcome. The bed was firm and just to our liking, the breakfast...

We were welcomed with home made rhubarb pie and cream, not a bad start. Lovely place and the food was excellent. Very friendly people ,would certainly recommend it. The setting was idyllic and the outside sitting area was just great.

Everything you could want, friendly and welcoming hosts, spotlessly clean and a breakfast menu many hotels couldn't or wouldn't offer. Recommended super local hostelries for dinner. Can't fault anything!
