Now I cant comment on the rooms as I did not stay here. I called in as I had a wander around the Village. Its a lovely old style Pub. Friendly lady working there was on the ball keeping every thing in order. I found the place to be spotless and a lovely place to go and chat to a...

Looks promising from outside but ......Dated, dank, clean sheets ok but cobwebs were thick and plentiful. Also shocked to discover rooms were not en suite, seems to have 2 toilets and 1 bathroom for entire floor. Will definitely not be returning. Definitely not recommending. There to attend nearby function and had no where else to stay otherwise would have moved...

I could get over the dated look and the shared bathrooms but the skylight in the room which didn't have a blind made for a restless night. Impossible to sleep once the sun was up at 6am. Poor value at 90 per night.

Fantastic stay. Josie and Brendan were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. The bed was so comfortable with pristine bed linen. The breakfast was delicious wth a great range of cereal, fresh juices and cooked breakfast. Will definitely be back.

This little jewel is right at the gates of castle Leslie so obv gets the overflow from weddings. Huge place & very deceiving. I'm not 100% sure but I think all rooms are shared bathrooms. The service was excellent & the couple who own are two gems. The room had a sink so could wash hands & teeth. No tea...

Not our first time staying at the Pillar House, not the last! We are always amazed at the hospitality of the proprietors always willing to help and give that bit of extra that makes you feel at home and welcomed. The rooms are cozy and the beds are very comfortable so much so you don't want to get up! A...

Stayed in pillarhouse last weekend and loved it. It was a home away from home! The propriortors were warm friendly and made a right fuss of me! They went out of their way so much that they rose at half 4 to make breakfast because we had to leave early (on a sunday)!!!The food was lovely and the atmosphere was...

“Good rooms nearby at Castle Leslie, not here”
  • Grimy light switch handle in the communal toilet (with no sink)
  • Cracked cistern and dodgy toilet seat in shared bathroom
  • Tiles missing in the bathroom.
  • Cracked mirror in room
  • Light switch in the communal bathroom
  • Love that lampshade
  • Cobwebs at eye-level, on top of wardrobe
  • No sink to wash your hands in the toilet, so God only knows what's on this handle
