Used to go here quite a bit. Food was always hit and miss. Service was usually good. Shame what's happening now...food is more often than not miss and service is non existent in the bar. A few of the barmen do their best and are good but the general feel of the place esp from the waitresses who quite simply...

Great location for visiting the many local attractions. Hotel has a very layback and relaxing atmosphere with very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, especially Martina in the dining room who served us a very tasty and enjoyable breakfast on both mornings. Could'nt have asked for more. Lobby, dining room and bar clean and nicely decorated. Room comfortable and spacious. Overall...

As a photographer and guide I always try to find hotels close to my tours departure and the Merriman hotel is ideal for tours of the wild Atlantic Way, including the cliffs of Moher, the Burren, Galway city and so many other great sites of interest of which there are too many to mention here. The hotel from the outside...

The hotel lobby area and bar are nice enough. The rooms were not very clean. There was dirt down the toilet which went away after I flushed so wouldn't have taken a lot to clean this. There was also a stain under the sink (obviously from someone spilling something) but it was obvious that the bathroom got little more than...

The hotel is ideally situated in the Burren and the town of Kinvarra was very quaint. We stayed for two nights including breakfast and also had one meal in the hotel. The lobby and bar are nicely decorated as was the bedroom but the bathroom was very tired and dated. The shower was also tricky to work. We stayed in...

As a regular visitor to Kinvara I was so disappointed yet again. This hotel is now under new ownership and I was so excited to give it my support as a family owned hotel. The food is more miss than hit and Robbie may be fantastic but many of the staff are indifferent. I believe the owner is very nice...

I stayed in the Merriman Hotel for 4 days and could not find a single fault. The rooms were spotless & clean and the food could not be faulted. Also the staff were very friendly and helpfull. The Guiness in the Merriman bar was the best i have ever tasted. I highly recommend this hotel.

I never write reviews but I feel it my duty to write this one!!!! I went to the Merriman for lunch with my mother. It was not only awful but a danger! We ordered a chowder with smoked haddock fish cakes and a fish pie. The fish pie was in fact the chowder with a dollop of mashed potatoes and...
