I cannot explain how much I loved this hotel! Everything from our room to common areas, staff, surrounding area, breakfast, dinner...everything was just fantastic! It's a castle and you really do have a feeling of staying in a castle...i just...i loved it! We stayed here for two nights on our trip around Ireland and when we were planing the whole...

I've stayed at this castle hotel twice, September 2009 and June 2013. Both times were excellent experiences. The breakfasts were excellent. Both the prepared food and the cold-cut and fruit selection were welcomed by my entire family. We didn't get to dine in the restaurant in the evening because of my picky eaters, but we did eat in the pub....

Set in the wilds of Connemara in a remote spot on the Ballynahinch River, Ballynahinch Castle is a world renown hotel and sporting estate. With a fabled history of illustrious owners including Grace O'Malley, pirate queen of Connaught and The Maharajah Ranjitsinghji, Ballynahinch is touted as Ireland's perfect spot for fly-fishing. We spent three nights there and used Ballynahinch as...

We study before we travel and map out spots to visit, historical sights to see, interesting assortment of places to stay and more. This spot caught our attention and from the entry gates in until the main entrance, we liked the venerable structure and its charm. We had a great lakeside large suite for the 3 of us with a...

Words just can't explain how much I loved my time at Ballynahinch. They made me (and from what I could tell, each and every guest) feel like a guest of honor. The rooms were beautiful, the dinner was amazing, and the grounds were stunning. We took time for a long walk through the grounds, and were amazed at the peaceful...

From the moment we arrived at this castle, we knew we were in for a treat. The setting is spectacular, the castle is beautiful, and the ambience continued once you entered this fine lodging. Huge warming fireplace, charming staff, and rooms to melt your cares away. Our room faced the river, and my husband is a fly fisherman so he...

We visited Ballynahinch Castle last September, sorry for the late review. I cannot recommend this place more highly. The setting is positively idyllic. The "castle", actually an old fishing lodge, sits right on the river with beautiful vistas everywhere. The main gathering rooms are filled with antiques, wood burning fireplaces and old paintings, all very inviting. The main dining room...

We came here in June 2014 and agreed it was one of the nicest rooms we had ever stayed in! The 4 post bed was amazing and comfortable. The bath was luxurious and the views of the lake stunning. We didn't want to leave! I would recommend this place to both couples and families but especially enthusiastic fisherman who can...

I stayed back in Sep 2013. It is a lovely place, very grand, yet friendly and laid-back. Beautiful surroundings. The hotel itself is luxuriously furnished with antiques throughout, there are lots of different areas for guests to use. It has it`s own "pub" which did lovely fish chowder and , of course, great Guiness . We had a large room...
