I'd often visited Ballynahinch on family holidays in my childhood and my parents stay in the hotel every year for my Dad's birthday. Last year my family and I stayed for 2 nights over NYE and enjoyed a 5 course black tie meal. I'd requested a luxury room, thinking these all had 4 poster beds and I was a bit...

We visited in May 2016. This was among the highlights of our trip...so why only 3 stars, you ask? It's a mixed bag. The estate was lovely, and our rooms were gorgeous. We had a walkout onto a terrace overlooking the river, and you could hold a banquet in the room itself. The furnishings were a little dated and well-used....

We stayed here Dec 21-23rd as part of our family adventure to Ireland. (15 of us!) Our experience was extraordinary. The grounds are beautiful, the food was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and lovely and the staff were all helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to make sure we felt at home. One night we all gathered...

Had lunch in the bar on New Years day. I did not complain as I had a guest. Menu choice very poor. Guinness stew, pasta or sea food platter for two Over priced for pub grub with pretensions. We have had both good and bad meals in the past, would not be returning. Lovely setting, perhaps just have a coffee....

Had a fabulous stay at Ballynahinch recently. It's a very comfortable hotel in a stunning setting. We really enjoyed everything it had to offer. The only negative, which I was surprised about, was the staff who, despite being very efficient, seem to be without genuine care or personality. I would say the only exception was the bar manager (older, local...

This is an old school castle hotel with most guest between 60-80 years. Although we liked the interior from a bygone age, we thought that some parts need a renovation (e.g. our room). Our room had no river view, but a hugh bathroom old style. We liked the dining room with river view and the tasty gourmet food. A highlight...

Our one night stay here was a birthday surprise for my sister so unfortunately we didn't have the opportunity to experience all that is on offer..... I would love to have had at least one more night. This is truly a magical place, the grounds are simply stunning and the building itself is gorgeous. We had a river view room...

My husband and I have just returned from two nights at Ballynahinch and we were absolutely blown away! Having only visited Dublin and Galway City, Ballynahinch is set in the most breathtaking setting - how many of us imagine Ireland to really be. The castle itself really doesn't disappoint on setting, comfort, style and service. Everything was wonderful from start...

This was a stay of our dreams...We had always wanted to stay at a castle hotel. This was a very scenic couple hour drive from the Shannon airport. Nestled amongst the Irish countryside surrounded by rivers and lakes. We had a lovely experience here. There are tons of activities to do like bicycling around the hotel compound, fly fishing, etc....

Upon entering the Ballynahinch you feel the warmth and charm of this beautiful castle hotel. The staff is excellent and very accommodating. Where your adventure begins is on the grounds. Even if you are not here to take part in the fly fishing or shooting, you will not regret staying here. The walking trails are breath taking and very romantic....
