After a brisk swim, there was nothing nicer than the delicious warming soup,.....I didn't fancy the bread so was kindly offered crackers, salad and a portion of the best homemade chutney I've ever had. Wish we'd known there was bed and breakfast would have much preferred to stay there. Not only that, I left my watch on the beach, it...

We had a really great experience with Caroline and all the friendly and super-helpful Galley gang recently. Occasionally they put on a special evening buffet on request for groups, and honestly if you're thinking of having a gang into Bofin for a soirée you couldn't go to a nicer place on the whole island. There were probably nearly 40 of...

If you make it out to the East of Inishbofin on the beautiful walk posted directly at the pier, make sure you stop at the Galley for a meal or even just a cup of tea or coffee. This is a very nice restaurant with a very friendly owner, which results in great service. Basically the "standard" Irish menu, but...

Lovely spot , enjoyed a lovely tea and slice of cake here after a long walk. Very quaint and pretty with lovely seating area outside over looking great scenery. One of my favourite places on the island. I did see beer taps too and would have loved a pint. Would definitely recommend and return next time for something larger.

This was the best food we ate on the island. I had a delicious bowl of seafood chowder and a hunk of homemade brown bread whilst my husband had quiche and salad. They had a gorgeous selection of open sandwiches and a range of cakes. The food was so delicious that we would have loved to go back for dinner...

We enjoyed lunch twice during our recent stay on Inishbofin - what a wonderful find! Caroline was charming, the food was served quickly and it was excellent! The fresh scones with jam and cream really hit the spot after a drizzly walk around the West End. Others in our group had the seafood chowder - a house specialty which doesn't...

We have had lunch at the Galley 3 or 4 times, most recently on 3 August 2016. We had hiked the Cloonamore loop, starting near the Doonmore Hotel, and been in and out of showers most of the morning so were all quite damp. The seafood chowder was delicious and soon put us to rights. The food has been wonderful...

My sister and I booked a last minute accommodation at the Galley - I had e-mailed several B&Bs and Caroline was the only person to respond. She took the time to find out which ferry we were traveling on and connect us with Dermot (her husband) who was working on the ferry and then delivered us and our baggage up...

We have been to the island of Inishbofin, Ireland, four times over the last 8 years. We have always stayed on the west or north edges of the island, but always ride our bikes to the East End several times for hikes and photography. Each time, we have lunch at The Galley and the food is great. No matter what...

Review from my father: I am a Canadian man who has travelled the world, loves food and is in the restaurant business. I ate at The Galley Restaurant today and was blown away. I ordered chowder but they were sold out - it was a very busy day on the island. Although disappointed, I ordered the crab salad plate. It...
