Having recently stayed in this hotel, I certainly have some comments. The hotel is stuck in the 1970's, with old and dated furniture and fixtures. You are still handed an actual key to your door, you must lock your door each time you enter and exit. There is definitely no luxury elements to this hotel. We stayed here over a...

Everyone was very helpful. We had a terrific view from our room (upstairs floor). The room and bath were very clean and simple. We had internet and a small tv. The breakfast was included and delicious. We ate dinner in their bar and it was really good: fresh chowder, hake and mashed potatoes, and beef lasagna. This is the only...

Came back from Carna totally refreshed and discovered parts of connemara previously unknown to us. Carna is a quiet village with a friendly atmosphere. Hotel is very much part of the local community from what we discovered. Great place to immerse in local culture and practice the "cupla focail" we could remember!! Accommodation very clean and comfortable. Breakfast excellent and...

We spent St. Patrick's week-end at the Carna Bay. While it was a wet weekend weatherwise we enjoyed our stay. Very helpful and friendly staff, lovely room with big comfortable bed. Hotel is set in a beautiful, part of Co.. Galway surrounded by mountains, sea, bogs with narrow roads leading down to the sea and then discovering beautiful sandy beaches...

I stopped here for directions, and the hotel manager was very helpful in steering me in the right direction. I didn't actually stay here, but I wish I had -- it's a lovely hotel with great scenery in a remote, beautiful location. I had stopped at a local pub, the Tigh Mcheaic, where only Gaelic was spoken, and I felt...

This hotel is located an hours drive from Galway and an ideal base to tour Conamara. It's a small family run hotel in a beautiful scenic location. The hotel is spotless and our room was warm and comfortable. The breakfast was excellent. There was a huge selection of fresh fruit, yoghurt, cereals and a basket of hot freshly baked scones....

Despite being stuck in the early 70s, this was one of the cleanest places we've stayed. You know that mildew in the corners of the tub? Not there! The décor is 50/60s, but the place is great. The staff are wonderful and very welcoming. We had wet things that they told us we could dry in the airing room. Out...
