Contrary to some other reviews, I found Finola and John to be wonderful. They were gracious, always available and very helpful. My kids loved the horses and the walking was terrific. It was relaxing and perfect for an Ireland trip. We rented out the main house for our whole family. The rooms are large and the home is beautiful. The... More

We had a wonderful stay at Lisdonagh! Our family group of 23 rented out the entire property for a week and enjoyed every minute in the beautiful Irish countryside. The house has been restored with great care and attention to detail. Each room has its own unique charm furnished with antiques as well as modern comforts. The owners Finola and... More

We travel to Europe each year to conduct retreats for professional, executive couples. We rent castles or mansions that are considered 5 star properties. Lisdonagh Manor was truly exceptional in every way. All the committments and pre-retreat arrangements were fulfilled and even better than we excpected. The owners personally worked with us on every aspect to make our stay at... More

We were in Ireland for the first time for a wedding and wanted a place to stay that gave us the true flavor of Ireland. And we definitely found it. The grounds were great, especially with the kids. Reminded me of the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Tree-lined country road into the cottages and manor house. The accomodations had everything we... More

We just got back from our wedding at Lisdonagh House. I was intending to write a review anyway but when I saw the ugly negative postings of some 'anonymous guests' I felt I had to do it sooner rather than later as my experience could not have been more different. We rented the entire estate for a whole week. We... More

My Wife and I have just spent a wonderful week in Lisdonagh House, where my sister in law had, to quote her, "The Wedding Of Her Dreams". This house is not for people who want plastic and stainless steel!! But, for anyone who loves the idea of being a country gentleman, living in his ancestral home, surrounded by comfort and... More

On our short visit to Ireland (8 day visit). One of the places we stayed was Lisdonagh house. We had called up to book and had a talk with FINOLA and decided instantly to stay at Lisdonagh.. because of her warm and friendly attitude. We were more pleased with her warm reception on our arrival. She offered us a cup of hot... More

The house was nice but the service was terrible. The owners were not friendly, nor were the rooms very clean. The only onsite attraction was a broken boat. Just about any hotel room would be better and a great deal cheaper.

We were unable to sleep in the Villa - although a different one than we had reserved. My son had an asthma attack because of the dust, mold and mildew throughout the villa. The caretaker was unable to provide us with alternate unit (they were all the same and Evelyn, the caretaker sympathized with out situation because her own daughter... More
