I stayed here for a week. I have to say everything here meets the 4 stars hotel standard. The breakfast buffet with the Irish traditional one was really tasty, as a tourist visiting Dublin for the 1st time, their breakfast was actually one of the highlights of my trip! The double room I stayed is spacious and very clean. The bed is very comfortable and same as the pillow. I had very good sleep every night for the whole week! The cleaner ladies are very efficient, they cleaned my room within 40 mins after seeing the sign on my door one morning, that was beyond my expectations! The location is just 40 mins away by trams/ buses from the city centre, which is not too far at all. The trams and buses stops are just within 10 mins walking distance. I like the interior design of the room and the hotel receptionists had all made my stay super pleasant. They answered my questions and helped me the best way they could.

The only downside is there's no laundry room in the hotel for the guests to use (no washing machines and dryers), you have to go to the nearest shopping center to do laundry....

Overall, definitely a lovely stay!

Positive:
Spacious room, comfortable bed, excellent water pressure.
Coffee, tea and bottled water were available in the room.
The hotel is located right next to 'The Square' shopping center with bus stops. The 'Airport Hopper' is an efficient and inexpensive way to get to the airport.
The night clerk provided outstanding customer service (referring to the first night, 19-20 October). Unfortunately I don't have his name.

Negative:
I'm a very light sleeper and so I always ask for a quiet room. In a 4* hotel, this usually isn't much of an issue, but it can be when you have a new employee working at the reception desk.
There is a very busy road in front of this hotel, so the lady thought that giving me a room at the extreme end of the corridor towards the back of the hotel would be the solution. Unfortunately, there is a very busy traffic circle right outside room 261. I was able to hear the traffic noise before even reaching the room so I returned to the desk but was told that it would be quiet at night. It wasn't.
They advertise sound-proof rooms, which was one of the reasons I chose this hotel, but with not one but THREE windows, this definitely doesn't apply to room 261. At 3 a.m. I finally had enough and asked for a different room. The young man at the reception desk immediately understood the problem (this has clearly happened before) and gave me a room towards the middle of the hotel. This young man is what I would describe as a leading example of what customer service is all about.
The cleaning lady did a great job cleaning the room and filling up drinking water and coffee, but she forgot the coffee creamer on three out of four days. This should not happen in a hotel of this price range.

We checked in with our 7 month old daughter and the room we were given was a bit top small for the travel cot so we made our way down to dinner and mentioned it to reception.. Big thanks goes to vicky who approached us before our dinner and nor only changed our room for a much bigger one but arranged to move all our luggage so we didn't have to do anything... The rooms had digital temperature control which worked very well and the beds were really comfy whilst the room was spotless. Thanks Again Vicky for making us feel very welcome.

This hotel has been refurbished to a very high standard and is idealy located to our 4 year old grand daughter's home where we look after her for two days a week.
The staff are very helpfull and kind. From the reception, restaurant and general staff. We have found and continue to find no fault with the hotel staff.
The breakfast is good with pastries and bottles of smoothies, porridge is particularly good. Restaurant food for evening time is good. Parking is good.

I stayed with a friend in January availing of a Pigsback offer and can't fault this hotel. The staff were so pleasant and helpful (even AFTER our stay when they kindly located and returned a pair of glasses we left behind!) The food was delicious at dinner, breakfast choice was good and the room was very comfortable. What stood out for me was the excellent soundproofing provided by the windows. Despite the location on a really busy road I slept like a baby which is very rare for me in hotels. Well done to the hotel for investing in such high quality windows, it makes all the difference, especially to sensitive sleepers like me.

Very pleasant stay and great value for money, will definitely stay here again,

I am from Tallaght where the Plaza is located and used to go there when the pub was Grumpys and to the nightclub. I am in my 40's now so am well past all of that but I ate here on Friday evening with a friend who was staying in the hotel for a course and have to say I was really impressed. The decor of the lounge is lovely, really spacious, clean and relaxing. The food was beautiful and the service was excellent, all of the servers where so polite and it really made for a lovely night.
My friend was staying there 3 night and said the rooms are gorgeous and that it is her favourite hotel, she lives in Meath and travels up just to stay and eat here.

Location is excellent as you are a 2 min walk from The Square shopping centre which has all forms of transport if you decided to go to the City Centre, shops and a cinema so its an all round great location. You are beside the dual carrigeway but I dont think this causes an issue for sound in the bedrooms and the dual carriageway does be quiet late at night.
I will be back for sure.

We had a very disappointing stay here. The receptionist was very friendly and welcoming however the breakfast was very poor and our bathroom wasn’t very clean.
The bath was really dirty, it looked like there was tan or rust in it and it looked like it hadn’t been cleaned which was really disappointing and not what you would expect in a four star hotel. We rinsed it and put the bath mat down to take a shower. (To be fair the bath mat had been cleaned and had the cleaning paper around it so at least we could use that to take a shower). The carpet in the bedroom had stains on it and there was paint over some of the tiles in the bathroom, some floor tiles were cracked, it looked like it was very badly finished. The fan in the bathroom was also extremely noisy.
But most of all we were very disappointed in the breakfast. It was an extra 18 euro each. The cooked breakfast buffet was luke warm and soggy but for us the worst part was we couldn’t even have a cup of tea as the “hot” water for making tea and coffee wasn’t even luke warm, it was cold. Overall it was inadequate, we had to ask a staff member for orange juice as it had run out and had been empty for a while. We ended up going for breakfast elsewhere after checking out. It was a waste of 36 Euro.
My husband did mention our concerns to the the gentleman on reception on check out who was apologetic and advised he would take our concerns on board, however there was no offer of a reimbursement for our breakfast.
On a positive note, the staff were lovely and friendly however this was not a four star experience for us.

Wonderful hotel with great front desk staff. They were more than helpful with questions on the surrounding area and directions. Our room was spacious, with comfortable beds and linens. Most importantly, the whole hotel is clean!!! Great water pressure and plenty of hot water. Free on-site parking. I suggest getting the breakfast deal with the room rate, it's well worth the price. They have a wide selection of hot and cold breakfast items on their buffet. We had great dinner service in the hotel restaurant with reasonable prices and good portions. Downtown Dublin is a short drive away. They are located close to TU Dublin, Tallaght Campus and The Square, a multi-level shopping mall with several stores. Both within a few minutes walking distance. The mall parking garage has a small self-laundry facility located on the ground level. With the Plaza's great service and convenient location, it is an ideal spot to be close to downtown but out of the hustle and bustle of the city. The area is quiet at night, and we felt safe in walking late at night. We would definitely stay here again.

An overnight stay each way on a coach holiday. Had a double room (nice double bed going, twin beds on return). Only one lift so had to wait a long time on arrival. Electric wouldn't stay on at first but manager very quickly fixed the problem. Tea making facilities were provided and a large flat screen TV that had access to YouTube videos. The bathroom was the best I've ever found in a hotel. Although the shower was in a bath there was a grab rail on the wall. A sanitized bathmat was provided and the shower operated at just the right temperature. Evening meal was excellent although choices were limited. The service was very friendly. Breakfast (only had the one as on second visit we left very early to catch a ferry) was the usual buffet affair - adequate but nothing special. Didn't really have time to explore the surroundings. It is next to a busy main road. However the indications were that local stores were nearby and there was a nice park across the road. Would stay here again without hesitation.

I am very disappointed as a treat I met a friend in the Plaza Hotel Tallaght ...it had been booked and 50% deposit paid. We are both vegetarian which was mentioned on the booking email. My colleague was early and again mentioned we were vegetarian. We waited 40 minutes and had to send it back as they gave us fish (salmon + tuna) . We had to repeat everything we asked for twice...the scones came without butter and were cold and hard before we could get to them. It was booked for 3pm we were charged €35. Definitely not worth this price.. I have had afternoon tea numerous places and this was not up to standard.
