Booked online through email back and forth with the hotel, as several reviews had said good things. Arrived and they did not have my reservation, despite the few emails exchanged. Got a room finally, upstairs, after being asked to pay upfront (we paid the first night only) and was less than impressed. It was very dark, very simple, and the...

When we arrived, the woman was super friendly and recommended us some places to eat, and gave us directions. She spoke pretty well english too, so that was a nice bonus. They don't have water refills and I'm still not sure if you are allowed to use the kitchen? I read some other reviews which said that you get breakfast...

We also did some of the tours that the hotel offers - went to Laguna de Apoyo, Volcan...

This is my third trip to Masaya in twelve months. This family run hotel for the money is the best I've been at in Masaya. Every effort was made to make the stay as pleasant as possible. Internet is available in the rooms. A breakfast brunch provided.

We stayed here because there are good reviews, also on Lonely Planet. But the rooms upstairs are like an oven, the bathroom was really dirty and the sheets too small for the bed, But the owner is really nice and helpful. Breakfast included> coffee and cake for those who like that...........
