The reviews are correct. This is a tired property that needs a makeover including steam cleaning my balcony and the overall outside. I took pictures but I don't want to belittle the hotel by posting them. I was supposed to get a suite (over the phone) but was given a king room (924) with a dirty balcony overlooking a noisy...

Hotel is older but continues to be a popular place to stay. The bar area is huge and the employees are delightful. Everyone speaks and is polite. Bed needed mattress to be turned, slept in a rut. Room service very convenient and food was good. Meeting areas are on the lower level accessible by stairs or service elevator. A bonus...

Don't be deceived by the entrance--beautiful. Rooms are average and smell musty--can't stand that smell. Prices at the restaurant way over priced. Breakfast and lunch not too bad--Don't order he pizza--yuk. Dinner is outrageous, but this seems to be a trait of Marriott. The only redeeming thing about this hotel is the staff, especially Keller. Have to say the people...

Stayed two nights at the Knoxville Marriott over the weekend, since we were going to the Blood, Sweat & Tears Concert at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium. The Marriott has a covered walkway just minutes away to the the Civic Auditorium. We were quickly checked in by Keller. Older facility with a huge atrium lobby. Our room was super quiet and...

Overall I enjoyed the weekend at Marriott. I was there for a conference and from what I could tell the staff did an amazing job making sure things ran smooth. The food was delicious. The front desk staff was very friendly. I had requested to check in early Saturday and they had my room ready for me when I arrived...

Ms. White, As the Front Office manager, I especially love hearing good things about our desk agents, and I’m glad that you enjoyed the accommodations made for your conference! I am disappointed to see that your experience at our bar wasn’t as satisfying as the rest of your time here at the Marriott; I understand how frustrating it can be...

The reviews are accurate. This hotel needs updating, but our room was clean and the staff at the front desk and restaurant were excellent. We were in town for an event at the Knoxville Civic Center and Auditorium and this hotel is connected to the facility by a covered walkway, very convenient. The hotel is also within walking distance (a...

It is really simple from a customer perspective: This Marriott is in need of a remodel. Period. Yes it is clean and yes it is somewhat comfortable, and yes the staff were very helpful and nice, but dang, Marriott is better than the condition of this facility. We stayed concierge level and ended up being given rewards points because the...

It's rare that I don't write positive reviews, but our stay this weekend was with mixed results. Overall this is a marginal Marriott property and needs an overhaul. To be specific: check in was positive, cable tv was out in bar during NCAA games - not good, very soft beds, no hot water on Saturday morning for over an hour,...

Stayed for the week on business and yes the hotel is a little dated with a need of updating but the staff is excellent and very polite. Concierge lounge was great as well as the exercise room. The positives out weight the negatives. Will stay here again when in Knoxville.

Beautiful building from the inside, could use a bit of updating for style, but a nice atmosphere. Rooms were well appointed, and we had a nice view of downtown Knoxville from our shared balcony on the 9th floor. Helpful staff who directed us to the James White Fort down the street as a fun activity for the kids.
