Quick service for lunch... The lunch menu is pretty limited, but the choices are tasty. The wait staff is attentive and accommodating. I'll say this, I've only been once and it was for lunch...I'll be going again to try something from their dinner menu. Thanks for reading my review.

If you're looking for a real throw back experience to a 1920's feel, the READ HOUSE is the place to be. Our room (715) was absolutely lovely. Comfortable king bed, nicely appointed separate living space with 3 different window views of quiet Downtown Chattanooga. The aspect that really puts this above the rest is the over the top guest service....

We stayed in this quaint boutique hotel recently on our drive to Florida. We hadn't originally planned on visiting but I had read about the hotel's history and thought that it deserved a look. We were not disappointed, even though we got off to a slight inconvenience. The Front Desk staff were very welcoming and check in was done quickly....

We loved our stay for Valentine's Day! Great rate, location, and dinner at the restaurant in the hotel. The hotel is beautiful and such a historic place with character. Our suite was perfect for my husband and myself to just relax for a night.

This hotel was booked through Hotwire's secret hotelso we didn't know where we would be staying until we booked. The lobby is historic and loved the wood work and detailing. The room we received was dated and could use some updating. The chair and carpet were stained. There was not hot water in the sink and when we took a...

This is an beautiful old historic hotel in downtown Chattanooga. It is being prepared for major renovation, but that took nothing away from some incredible persons who served the GATEway Optimist International Club Conference. You hate to name but a few, but these are the ones that I got a name. Bo, was beyond belief in helping in every way....

Nice older hotel. Old feel in a good way. Historic but would be amazing if they renovated just a bit. Old touches like the key hole and door handle of the closet door was cute. But tub needs to be redone. Didn't want to step on because of it chipping. I normally do not stay at pet friendly hotels but...

Thank you for your review. We are in the planning phase of our renovation plans. We are scheduled to start sometime this summer. We do accept pets and try to keep them in one location. I am sorry for the mess... I am glad you will be bringing the whole family next time. Chattanooga is a great family destination with...

This is our go to place to stay. It's a wonderful historic hotel with a modern touch. In a great part of downtown... walk to shop and eat while feeling safe. The customer service is also incredible! I have been very pleased each time we have stayed.

My stay at the Read House was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. I would actually rate this hotel a "0" if that were an option. The hotel itself was filthy -- the hallway rugs desperately needed vacuuming. The elevators were sluggish, and dirty. The hallways were in need of paint, new wall paper and updated rugs. The...

Great location and friendly service. The Read House was recently purchased and will undergo a renovation later this year, so this review is based on my experience at the current hotel. A renovation is needed, but we still enjoyed our stay here. Location - just a few minutes from I-24 so very easy to get to from the highway. Located...
