Old terminal now restored and center of a hotel complex. Also a train that did the Cincinnati to Chattanooga route on which the song is based. Spent an hour--more than enough. See if you can get into the dinning car.

Upon arriving this evening for a small wedding ceremony we discovered there was a HUGE anime convention going on. Being at the point of tears my husband took off to the main office to see if there was anything we could do. This is when we met the amazing Joanna. She came out with a plan and all the people...

quaint train station converted to hotel on a very unique piece of property. Dining inside an old train car, a domed lobby, very unusual and interesting place to stay. Not the best place i have stayed, but also not the worse. needs to be rehabbed though.

We haven't stayed there in years, and it is very different, disjointed. There is a lobby building with a restaurant, with gardens, train car rooms, and a few shops in the back. There used to be 3 main buildings with hotel rooms, but it appears building 2 (yes, kind of in the middle) was sold and turned into apartments. Also,...

THis place is old, run down, dilapidated... the train cars are disgusting. I viewed one during a recent stay and it smelled so bad I had to exit immediately. There is no way in hell I would stay there. I would rather sleep in my car. The place is in terrible shape and was a bit on the scary side....

Soooo I had friends to come from out of town to visit and so I took them to the historic Choo-Choo. The outside grounds and lobby were beautiful! I'm always so proud to show this wonderful piece of history off. However, this month I had plans to book a room for them there but looked at the reviews and pics...

It's newly renovated rooms and the closest to the lobby and gardens. Nice beds , clean. Easy parking. Sliding glass door but it had an safety bar attached. The train...

I would not recommend to friends. Should have stayed at a name brand hotel, at least you know what you're getting. The whole complex is unsightly. We stayed in McArthur Building , supposedly re done but to me could use another update. Bathroom was small, bed had no comforter and Internet service could not have one gig as advertised, I had...

I arrived in the mid-afternoon, and was warmly greeted by personnel at the check-in counter. Had no problems with the process, and was shown and directed to where my room was. I was booked into the upstairs at the MacArthur Building, and had a view of the restored train cars that are used as guest rooms. While I did not...

We arrived in Chattanooga in late afternoon to take our 3 year old grandson to stay in a train car at the Choo Choo. We checked in, brought in our luggage and turned around and checked out. I have never seen such a filthy hotel room. The carpet hasn't been changed in 30 years. It was black! The bedspreads were...

I've been coming here 1-2x a year for about 7 years now-always in winter. This year I finally attended a convention there in summertime and I was STOKED to finally use that pool that had been vexing me.

All day long it was full of feral children and at night, when the con activities slowed the pool gates were locked. (9pm!) that was the only time I saw any security off their golf cart-to lock us out of the pool! Earlier in the day, we noticed a car POURING GAS from it tank in the parking lot. We flagged the centaurs (security/golf cart hybrids) and one said point blank that he didn't care because it "wasn't his car". I called the front desk 2x about it. No one really seemed to care.

I am SORELY disappointed, Choo Choo.

Also the renovations are terrible, did you have to tear out the station house and sandwich shop at the same time? The gardens breakfast we used to look forward to was awful, and the short male waiter was TERRIBLE. Overheard him telling a table of three ladies that unless they gave him another dollar he would have to pay a dollar to take care of them (not sure what he meant, but they coughed up an extra dollar, which he pocketed and left them without saying ty) ladies told us they'd never be back. When we paid him, he didn't even offer to bring our change, just took our cash and left.

He should be fired.

We had silver car pizza 1x and it was burnt. We called out to papa johns and then city cafe after that.

We have always stayed here at the choo choo, and looked forward to it, but after this past weekend at the con, we're considering branching out and trying another hotel nearby...
