The hotel is located in lookout valley and only a short drive to popular attractions like Ruby Falls and Rock City.
The view from our room was great, looking out at nearby mountains with the room being quiet and well equipped. Would certainly stay here again if visiting the area.

This Hampton is absolutely gorgeous with a covered patio, outdoor fireplace, and incredible views of the mountain. The stone work on the outside of the hotel blends in with the setting beautifully. The rooms on the front side of the hotel provide stunning views of the surrounding area. While the room layout is a little different than others, it lends to the overall outstanding impression of this property. We would definitely stay again.

The hotel was clean and comfortable and the staff was friendly. My wife and I recently stayed there for 2 nights and it was our first time away from home since the Covid Pandemic shut everything down in March. We were a bit apprehensive about travelling but it was obvious this hotel took every precaution to keep things clean and sanitized. The rooms were clean and sealed to demonstrate no one had entered the room since it was cleaned. The breakfast bar was very neat and clean with tasty grab and go items. Overall, the staff's attentiveness to safety precautions put our mind at ease and made our stay enjoyable. They set a standard that we did not see at some of the other locations we stayed at and we were very appreciative. We would stay there again.

I would happily stay here again....just not during a pandemic. The front desk night attendant was not wearing a mask during check in. It was especially stark after reading all of Hilton's policies and seeing the "Masks required" sign on the door. Once you walk in, not only are other guests not wearing any masks, but neither is the first employee who signs you in and greets you. This is not a contactless check-in, although check-out was. The location is gorgeous and I would stay here again, just not anytime soon.

Dear guest, We are sorry that the guest service representative was not wearing a mask. We do take this policy seriously as it is a policy we have to follow from Hilton, the county, and our management company. We understand how unsettling this would have been. We are glad you enjoyed the property otherwise, and hope you visit again. Thanks, Lauren

We choose this hotel as the halfway point from Wisconsin to Fort Myers area Florida in March when Covid had really taken off and we cancelled our Mexico trip and decided to drive to Florida instead to stay with family. The views did not disappoint. Although much in the area was closed due to Covid (park systems) we were only using it for a rest stop anyway. There are numerous fast food restaurants in the area along with a Walmart across the street. There are also several other hotels to stay at. On the way down it was a limited buffet and on the way back was just a bag breakfast. In the 2.5 weeks we had been gone plexiglass was put up for safety between staff and visitor and more cleaning had been addressed. Would definitely recommend and stay again, it's a beautiful area. There is a sitting area outside along with an indoor area. Free coffee throughout the day.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. I like the keyless entry option with the Hilton App.

My only disappointment were the breakfast grab and go selections. The sausage sandwich that you can get to take and warm up was tasteless. I wish the Hampton would have grab-and-go options like the Home2 Suites by Hilton. Otherwise, the stay was great.

In general this is a very nice hotel. It looks to be newer and was in good condition. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. It has some beautiful views from the pool, the pool has a water slide for children to play and it was conveniently located.

However, we had several issues during our stay that left me feeling disappointed with this hotel. Our first issue was at check-in; I had done the online check-in with the Hilton app and then stopped at the desk for keys. The person working at the desk was not overly friendly and definitely not great with customer interaction. When we went to our assigned room there were people already in it. I'm not sure how I was assigned a room that was already occupied or how it wasn't caught when I came to the desk for room keys but we headed back down to the desk to try and resolve the issue. When we came back down there was no apology, no explanation and we stood there while he went back into the office unsure of what was going on. Finally, we were told we'd get another room, which ended up being in a less desirable location. Breakfast was also a bit of a letdown. I'm very happy Hampton Inn is back to serving a hot breakfast; the bags were horrible but at our breakfast there was no meat and multiple items were out for awhile before anyone replenished the food. Finally, the outdoor pool is very nice but the water temperature was uncomfortably cool. Our child loved the slide but couldn't stay in for more than a few minutes because she was so cold.

Again, this was a nice hotel but our specific experience this stay was not very good. I'd consider them in the future, but hope for a better stay.

Started out okay. Needed to do laundry, but required many quarters. The thoughtful person at the front desk hiked over to the next motel across the parking area to retrieve some for me. For that I was very appreciative.
However, staff did not wear masks. We are diamond members. I appreciate extra water and a snack, but would be far more grateful if the staff would at least wear masks.
There was one cup provided in the room. No cotton blanket. I went down to the desk to get one. No night light. No exhaust fan and an oldish bathroom.
When my husband tried to take the elevator up after breakfast, the back opened as well and a housekeeper boarded. Then another housekeeper boarded with a big laundry cart. He told my husband to get in to ride with them. NO masks. He waited for the next elevator. Maybe there are obvious reasons why we from Vermont have far fewer Covid cases in comparison.
Breakfast was slim pickings. No bananas, waffle iron broken, milk dispenser turned off, bare counters, sausages and eggs in warmer were not quite warm, again, maskless help.
Just plain found this a frustrating experience.

This is an excellent hotel. It is close to area attractions such as Ruby Falls, Incline Railway and Rock City. I enjoyed my stay very much. The staff made me feel welcome and as if I were part of the family. I had a short stay, but I did enjoy my stay very much. I will definitely stay here again next time I am in the area.

I have a few very minor issues (mostly regarding preferences) about my stay. First off, like some other reviews the thermostat backscreen was very, very bright and lit up the entire room, so if you like a dark room, be prepared to cover it with something as there is no way to adjust the brightness. I did mention it to the front desk, and they did apologize. They offered a shower cap to cover the thermostat, but seeing as how the shower cap is clear, that did not solve the problem. However, it was useful in helping to hold a paper towel folded over in place to cover the screen. That was my biggest issue with this hotel.

The second thing I noticed, and this for whatever reason seems to be a trend with all the hotels (not just Hilton brands) but there are no longer exhaust fans in the bathrooms. I am guessing hotels are skipping the exhaust fans to save money, but the fans are needed, and shouldn't be skipped. This is no fault of the hotel itself or its management, they didn't build the hotel.

My third thing, and it is definitely a personal preference and not a reflection of bad management or customer service is that the indoor pool (obviously being November the outdoor pool was closed) could have been a bit warmer.

The breakfast had lots of options---BACON!! Something to please all my picky eaters.
The beds were comfortable and the air/heat unit was quiet.

This hotel met all of our expectations. We were greeted by a very friendly clerk and the check-in process was quick. Upon entering our room, we could tell that it had been thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. Being on a hill, it was very quiet, but still a convenient location since it was right off of the interstate. We appreciated a good night's sleep in a very comfortable bed.

It is a great place to stay. Very clean and friendly staff. I really can't give you a honest answer. We checked in after dark and it was gloomy and raining the next morning when we left. We had a room facing the highway. Not much to see really other than the roadway. Wish I could help you more. But for the rate and a great place to stay I highly recommend staying here.
