Room was large and clean and overall very comfortable! Bathroom was also large which doesn’t often happen in hotels so it was a pleasant surprise! Appreciated the small package of sanitizing wipes too as they’re perfect to tuck in a pocket or purse!

We also ate in the restaurant attached and was disappointed in the lack of social distancing inside the restaurant. Signage stated masks were required and most wait staff wore them properly but there was one gal working neighboring tables whose gaiter was never up or staying on, thankful she wasn’t our waitress or I would ha e asked for someone else. I don’t find it appropriate to require masks and it’s not even followed by staff, poor example. Daughter enjoyed her mini corn on the cob called a cobbette and we asked if she could get another which they gladly obliged but then charged us $4 for the tiny 3in corn cob when the kids meal itself was only $7 to begin with, $4 is a bit ridiculous. Mentioning the price upon ordering would have been nice as we probably would have just ordered her another meal considering the cost!

Breakfast was lack luster and I understand this is partially due to covid precautions so bagels and English muffins are in individual bags which is handy but then you’re left with one lousy two above toaster which didn’t want to work unless you held the knob down...this was problematic when others were trying to get their items and still try to social distance! Hotel needs to put utensils, plates and equipment separate from food items so people can access what they need instead of waiting 5 mins for a toaster to work. There was only orange juice, coffee and water to drink too...we were not impressed with breakfast but appreciate the attempt.

Overall, I will gladly stay at another SpringHill hotel but will DoorDash our food!

My husband and I decided to get out of our city for a quick trip out of town. We choose Chattanooga and decided to Stay at SpringHill Suites on the Harbor. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and the location was near (walking distance) to shops and attractions. We decided since it was a short term to spend a little extra on a King Room with a balcony overlooking the river and were not disappointed. The room was spacious and the view was great. My husband took a run along the path that goes by the hotel and parallel to the water. There is an on-site restaurant on the water. The menu was very diverse and the food was good. It was nice to have a restaurant so convenient which also had quality food. A lot of locals eat there as well so it is not your typical hotel food place. We will absolutely stay here again and would recommend the hotel to others.

We had a river view room & it was gorgeous. The bathroom is huge but the tub is small (a little disappointing)
Valet parking is a plus but it’s a daily parking fee if you choose to park your own car. (be sure to look @ the small print)
Friendly staff. Because of Covid, you have to schedule pool/ hot tub time so you may only get fifty minutes.
The connecting bar & grill is a wonderful bonus but again Covid limits that too.
This is a beautiful clean property. The room was spotless & cool. The bed was comfortable. Our double queen was very spacious!
Would return here for sure.

First of all, there is absolutely no where to park due to the busy restaurant attached. We had to leave our car by the entrance for valet or park at the top of the hill by the street. They did not tell us about the $10 per night parking fee that was charged to my card. I also bought two 20 ounce cokes and a large bottled water from the lobby as they do not have vending machines... was charged $12. The balcony room was $180 a night and we couldn't even lay in bed to watch tv because the tv could only be seen from sitting on the most uncomfortable couch.

U8638VKmelaniel - I'm sorry to hear you were surprised by the overnight parking fee. We do our best to inform all of our guests about this charge by posting it throughout our property, on the valet stand, and on all sites where reservations can be made for our property. The shared lot for the hotel and attached locally owned restaurant is separately owned and operated, which is why we must pass the parking charge along to our guests. The valet team is also always happy to valet your vehicle at no additional charge if there is a time that the self parking lot is full. I have spoken with the valet team to ensure they let all of our guests know this on nights that the restaurant is also very busy. I apologize for the difficulties of the TV placement in your guestroom. We have passed your feedback along to the SpringHill Suites brand design team so that it can be taken into account for future approved designs.

The hotel is in a great location, a quick walk to downtown about 10 minutes. Parking is $10 per night. We are rewards members and booked a suite, our parking was comped.
The room was very large, the bathroom was awesome. Wonderful walk in shower. The bed was comfortable with great sheets and pillows. The balcony was off main sitting room which also had a desk. The refrigerator was smallxas was the area around it with a microwave and coffee maker. As fir the pool, due to covid you reserve your time and is limited to 10 people. We enjoyed our stay very much and will likely stay here again on our next trip to Chattanooga.

We will for sure stay here again next time we are in town! Our room was very clean and cozy even with a bigger family (6 of us). We never felt cramped or uncomfortable. All of the staff we encountered was very friendly and helpful with anything we needed. The location was super convenient to everything we wanted to do during our stay. With COVID protocols in place, you have to reserve a time to use the pool, so I would highly suggest reserving your time early to be sure you get a slot.

Years ago I came to The Read House and didn't think there was a better hotel in Chattanooga. I was wrong. This place is a step above. Both places with great staff and clean rooms, but the Marriott on the river has the best view in Chattanooga, no other hotel compares. Being adjacent to one of the best restaurants in Chattanooga, Scotties on the River, you can't beat this place. Get a balcony room on the top floor, go by the restaurant, and you have no reason to leave the area. Must stay hotel. Some days it costs a little more than the other hotels, but you get what you pay for! Don't miss out on this place.

The property is located right on the river along the river path that goes for miles. A nice place to walk or run. It's a pleasant property and seems pretty new. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. Lots of high school athletes were staying, but they were well-behaved and not too loud. They have a nice area to sit outside and an on-site restaurant that seems to have a decent selection of food, although it looked a little pricey. Our biggest issue was with parking. We knew ahead of time that we'd have to pay $18. When we arrived at the lot, there were all sorts of signs saying to scan a QR code to pay. And there was a guy walking around checking to see if vehicles were in the system as having paid. So, we scanned the code and paid. It turns out that hotel guests aren't supposed to do that. Your payment for parking is added to your hotel room and then the valet people give you a placard to hang in your car. The folks at the front desk were great about making sure we didn't pay twice but it would have been nice to know up front. Maybe they could include that information in the reservation confirmation email. Also, it would be nice if they had a little better selection of microwavable food to heat in your room. We arrived late and just wanted something quick and easy. The selection was so meager that we ended up eating crackers for dinner after a long day of driving. But all in all it was a good stay.

I don't like leaving a bad review but this one deserves it! The bed comforter had what looked to be unwashed blood on it. Called down for clean one, and they did bring fresh linens, They stripped the old sheets and comforter off the bed and left. I had to make the bed. ( the sheet was so thin you could see through it) There was fried chicken pieces on bedroom floor, and nail clippings on floor in bathroom. There was slim running out of Dumpster in front parking area. I ask them about it and they said it was grease, like it was a normal thing. Horrible smell.

This hotel sits on the Tennessee River and is a short distance from downtown Chattanooga.
The staff was very pleasant and friendly.
The room is clean and pretty much quiet except for the hallway. You can hear everyone who passes in front of your door.
I would highly recommend this hotel and would absolutely book here again. Next time, I will bring ear plugs.

During my stay there, all employees were wearing masks and I did not see any guests not wearing masks during my stay in the hotel. I can't speak to minimum vacancy but there were not many guests seen compared to overall capacity. I never felt "unsafe" during my stay.

There is a laundry. Roughly 4 of each machine. Sounds like you may have some particular needs - probably worth a call to the hotel - (423) 834-9300.
