This hotel was clean and comfortable. We had a suite so we had a lot of room. The beds and bedding were comfortable.

We do not travel much with our dog but in the past, it has been free to bring your dog with you when you stay at the La Quinta Inn. This hotel now charges to bring your dog. I did not realize that when I booked this room and they charged me at the hotel. (I realize I should have done more research but I just checked off a pet-friendly hotel when searching.)

It's only $20 but I could have stayed at the local Hilton and paid their $75 pet fee and paid the same price for a room. I also wasn't told when I checked in with my dog about the extra fee.

I was asked to put the dog's breed and sign a form about her. And a few minutes later I got an alert about the charge to my credit card. (Again, I know it's on me, I should have read the paper, but I had been in a car all day and just wanted to get in my room. And I didn't have to pay this in the past.)

The breakfast is just ok - it has the usual waffles, cereal, oatmeal, fruit, and breads. There was also sausage, eggs, biscuits and gravy. (But most of the time there is free breakfast it's not the best at any hotel.)

The suite had 2 TVs but they are pretty much right next to each other so unless you had the volume off on 1 TV - you can't really watch 2 TVs.

The hotel didn't have very good water pressure in the shower.

I would stay again. It was a great hotel. I was just thrown off by the exta fee.

Hello Janell, Thank you for your review. In April, La Quinta was taken over by Wyndham- this is when the pet fees started. I do apologize for the inconvenience. On your next stay please let us know when you are coming and I will have you a complimentary gift bag at the front desk. Thank you for being a loyal customer. We hope to see you again soon! Thank you, Cara Forshee, GM

Removing the cups and coffee pot from the room then not serving coffee at breakfast was just ridiculous. As much as I liked the motel I will not stay again due to this. Cups are wrapped in plastic and the coffee pot can be washed and sanitized. If you are not going to offer it in the lobby then at least leave the pot in the room.

We stayed at this LaQuinta in July 2020. We walked in and paid the going rate, (after a disaster with another hotel nearby we had a reservation with) with an AARP discount. So somewhere near $125. The room we were given had an odor as soon as we walked in, and we could smell it through our masks. We later decided the smell was cat urine, smoke, and peach room freshener. The hotel was supposedly really full, and we had tickets for an event within the hour so we decided to stick it out. It wasn't until we returned that night, exhausted, that we realized how dirty the room was. I have attached some pictures I took of the room. One of the reasons we decided to stay at this specific hotel was the indoor pool, which we had planned to utilize early the next morning. When we arrived at the pool, the water had an oily sheen and the water level was low. We informed the front desk, and we were told they would fix it, however, we didn't have time to wait due to the long drive ahead of us. Worst of all, there is no coffee maker in the room. Waking up tired without coffee is not how we wanted to start our day. Also, the "continental breakfast" advertised online included a bag with a Chewy granola bar, an apple, and a bottle of water. This was during Corona Virus, however we stayed at several hotels, including another in Tennessee with no issue. (They at least offered a choice of muffins, danishes, cereal etc.) We expected the rooms to be cleaner, not dirtier. All in all, the room was trendy, but dirty, and the hotel staff although kind, seemed incapable of keeping up with what they claimed was high demand. (Parking lot did not appear full, but who knows.)

We stayed at this La Quinta for the first time and we will return. The king suite was very spacious with a sofa bed and a large flatscreen in each room. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the walk in shower was nice. Room was clean and I appreciate the bare floor instead of creepy carpet. Breakfast was good, standard fare. Fitness room adequate for our needs, an indoor pool, and there was a large outside patio for better weather gatherings. Dog fee only $20 and I didn’t notice any funky animal smells. This hotel was a great find!

Very few dietary choices for those who might be gluten-free or lactose free. The water pressure in the shower was minimal at best and it was difficult to take a shower so therefore I could not even enjoy my shower. We extended our stay one night. No one bothered to make up the beds, empty the trash cans or even place the clean towels in the bathroom. Staff was friendly the hotel is clean and the lobby was very interesting looking.

Room was different separate bed/ livingroom sofa sleeper cute bathroom. Once again renovating. First day heard drilling below us. Hubby notice sofa sleeper smelled of dog. They should designated rooms for pets, many people go nose blind with pets (can't smell anything because they are so use to it). Housekeeper did not understand hotel door sign to clean our room, it was confusing to use too! Twice we had to notify our room was overlooked. The first time the housekeeper had to come while we were in the room. The second time I went down to the front desk to tell clerk we were overlooked again and she even agreed signage was confusing. Close to interstate, restaurants shopping and that's it!

Hello Cleo, We are working on bettering our staff and hotel all the time, any and all feedback is appreciated. I do appologize about the noise you were hearing. to my knowledge the only renovating we were in the process of was the re-painting or the pool room. I dont know what that drilling noise was. We are working on a better plan with pet rooms. We do hope that you will visit again. We appreciate you and your loyalty to the Wyndham Brand.

Our flights were cancelled out of Florida and had to drive back to Michigan. We booked 2 rooms at this hotel last minute. With taxes and fees, we paid $325 for each room (king suite). When I called it was $299/room for the night. I just don’t think this hotel is worth that price. Maybe $150/night. You can tell some
Of it has been updated, but a lot of the things in the room were broken and dirty. In the reservation I wrote in we had 2 adults and 3 children per room. I requested infant crib for each room and extra pillows/blankets. The cribs weren’t available and then we still had to ask for extra pillows and blankets.

Room 1:
every time you flushed the toliet, a loud ear piercing ring would come from the wall behind the toliet for about 2min. Every time! The only bathroom sink barely drained. It would fill half with water when just washing your hands and then drain over 5min.
The thermostat didn’t work (wouldn’t even turn on).

We unfolded the sleeper sofa and there was an old crumbled Doritos bag stuffed into the mattress.

Also 2 of our pillows were stained yellow.

Room 2:
Bathroom door bent, wouldn’t shut

Stained pillow

Sheet left on pull out bed

Not enough pillows and blanks for party

The shower was dirty and the shower head constantly dribbled water

Also the “hot breakfast” could be better. It was all carbs and sugar. The oranges and apples looked old.

I needed to speak directly to a person, so I hope I have reached the appropriate person.
I first off want to let you know I frequently stay a LaQuinta when I travel as long as it is in the direct area I am in.
The appearance was very impressive upon arrival and check it. I was really impressed at the atmosphere and the decor.
When we walked into our room it all changed. It was very humid, I went to try and turn on the AC and could not get it on. I looked down at the unit and noticed the electrical cord was out and wire showing, I moved it slip and the unit came on and went off, moved it some some and and there was water under it. I immediately called the desk and she came up to give us access to another room. I also went to use the restroom in this room and the bathroom floor was not cleaned, there was dark hair strands all beside and back of the commode.
Also fans blowing all into the hallway with a unnatural smell also when we endeared the 2nd floor.
The associate did let us know when she came up change our room out, that they had a fire on 3rd that alerted the sprinklers on the 2nd floor so there is water damaged.
We walk to our next room, again fans loud fans blowing all down the long hallway to the 2nd room.
We walk in it’s cool thank good.
As our day and days went on it did not end.
The following we encountered:
Bathroom in this room was dirty hair along the floors also beside the commode.
Shower head I was not dispensing full water it was a small amount coming out when we showered.
The TV stand had dust
The sofa bed mattress was stained in serval areas.
The hallway and stairwell carpet extremely dirty.
Cracks in the floor had missing tile pieces .
Sheetrock missing pieces on the wall.
Went to get bedding for the sofa bed and they had no pillows at all, no blankets at all….
Due to capacity I was told….but you have rooms that are not in order , under construction, that are not being used…so how are you at capacity.
On the 2nd day we went came back to no beds made, no clean towels. I called I was told due to Covid no room service unless requested, I was not told this first of all, and have stayed at other locations in the later spring twice , and we had towels and made beds.
I had never paid over $500 before for 2 nights.
Again I did with no problem, however now that was a bit much for the accommodations and mess we encountered. I felt the need to ask for some type of reimbursement, however no manager was available when I asked.
I will now have to cease my stays at LaQuinta this was a true nasty experience.
Thanks.

We had a good experience at this hotel, the room was clean, no hair or dust like stated by other customers. Jennifer was extremely helpful, we had towels all the time, and if we needed anything, they had everything available. The location is great, not too far from downtown, and at a reasonable price for fall break. The pool was a good size one, we could enjoy it keeping social distancing. In spite of the situation, they provide the best they can as breakfast, in individual bags.
I always bring my own linen, but can't complain, these looked pretty clean, is just that I am used to do that.

We booked this hotel for the first part of our vacation, We went to check in first of the lady at the front desk was out side smoking and didn’t come in until she finished her smoke, when she did come in she found out reservation and gave me us the room keys after telling us the pool was closed and breakfast was grab and go wish is not what it said On the website, We unloaded the car went to our room I opened the door and it was still dirty beds not made, bathroom not cleaned, I was beyond mad we had drove 6 hours and this is what we come to went back downstairs she said really it says the room is clean, I had to show her a picture she then informed me there was not another room available like the one we booked and it would be 3 hours before another one was ready. She said what do you want me to do? I ask for a refund and she said gave me one…..She was not sorry or compassionate.

Yes. The elevator is located just inside the hallway to the left of the check-in desk. However, be aware that it operates very slowly. If your room is on the second floor and if your baggage is light, taking the stairs is usually quicker than taking the elevator.
