My wife had been visiting / house sitting for a friend in Chattanooga and the trip had changed and she needed a hotel that night. She did not have a lot of room on the card she brought with her and called me, anxious, while I was back home in New England. I called this hotel, anxious and nervous about booking with a different card and Tra, at the front desk, just answered and helped me so kindly and patiently. I believe his words were "that's easy, we can handle that for you." I booked her hotel, she got a ride there, and checked in without issue. I then made the 16 hour drive to pick her up, anxious and worried about things the entire time. When I arrived, he was at the desk again and I wanted to extend another night. He said to not worry, just to rush off to the room and get some rest. He and the rest of the staff were so very kind and patient. The hotel was clean, crisp, smelled clean, and overall was a fantastic place!

If you are like me, it is sometimes difficult to sift through reviews and figure whose satisfaction and complaints match your own. Overall, my family comfortably stayed two nights here and were out and about for the most part. However, having such a great stay at a WI Country Inn & Suites last summer, there are things to point out even when considering changes due to COVID.
1. We had two rooms, I did not stay in my room as it was obvious it had not been cleaned when hairs were discovered in bed, Candy found on floor and the most obvious- the plastic bag that is being used to show the sanitation of remotes was absent. Luckily, the hotel did reimburse one night and Expedia offered a voucher for the inconvenience.
2. This hotel has been remodeled in recent years, However some things appear shabby. There was a cut cord coming from my AC unit. Furniture in parent’s suite was worn and stained. Hallway Flooring was dirty.
3. Housekeeping, of course, is modified due to COVID however the following seem to be of concern: trash overflowing in hallway and outside entrance, when requesting towels from front desk it is questionable if available, seems to be a limited amount of housekeepers currently on staff and none there when services needed, dirty towels placed in hallway per instruction but delay in picking up which is unsanitary.
4. First told pool was open, then there was a note that it was closed and then was told it was back open again, however the appearance and cleanliness of this pool compared to others pools open at this time was less to be desired,
Especially considering COVID.
5. Lastly, the grab and go breakfast consisted of an orange, water and generic granola/breakfast bar- clearly indicating that this is not very thought out and just something to fulfill a request. My suggestion would be to think of all of the grab and go options that are already available in a continental breakfast and provide those to each room or don’t provide the breakfast and give a discount or a voucher at a local nearby restaurant.
As said at the beginning, we slept fine here but if these things would bother you,
I would suggest booking another location because at this point it is questionable if we will book at another Radisson property.

I have stayed at this location several times in years past and was always very happy. This visit was not the same. The entire location does not feel clean and the two roaches that I killed in our room proved my feelings. They advertised Breakfast Included which turned out to be power bars, fruit cups or packaged mini muffins. We stayed in a competitors hotel the night before and paid $30 less with much better quality.

We stayed here the week before and our room was fine. We didn’t use any of the hotel amenities and our room was clean, so I booked a bigger suite for our return drive.
This was apparently a huge mistake on my part.
Our suite was absolutely filthy. Housekeeping could not have done more than make the bed in this room because there was pee on the floor in front of the toilet, water in a bag inside the ice bucket, hair and dirt on the floor, and stained, nasty sheets.
Not to mention the lack of working ice machines (according to other reviews on Google, this has been an ongoing issue for over a month) and no vending available.
My husband mentioned the pee and ice bucket to the front desk attendant (a male who was not wearing a name tag), who did not offer any way to remedy this problem. Okay. He came back to the room and I said “let’s just try and get the baby to sleep and get to bed.” So my husband pulls the sheets back and they have big nasty stains on them and some debris. That was the last straw.
After 10 hours on the road with a very upset 18 month old and two worn out parents, the base expectation would be to have a clean place to sleep. You failed in all aspects of hospitality. We will never stay at a Radisson hotel again and we certainly do not recommend this hotel to anyone, especially families that have little ones that don’t need to be walking around on floors that have dried pee, dirt and hair all over them.

We stayed at this hotel last night for a quick getaway. We booked solely because of the reputation of Country Inns and Suites. We will not stay here again. They have evidently changed hands. They also checked us into the wrong room. Pros:large room, large bathroom, close proximity to local attractions. Cons:dirty room, very unstable floor lamps, paper thin walls, squeaky bed,and the ice machine was broken. You could hear people in the next room talking. It was not private at all! There were only two washcloths in the bathroom. The tray the coffee was on was filthy. It had hair and dirt on it. Furniture had a gross substance on it and was strained. The bed sheets had hairs, the shower curtain had hairs, the Toilet had hairs, the tissue box hadn't seen a dust cloth for what seemed like years.. I could go on and on. We left this morning to realize the "boys" cleaning the rooms were not much older than my teenage son. Obviously they are having issues with cleaning, but especially during a pandemic it is imperative that surfaces be clean and disinfected. The hotel offered us a small refund. We will never go here again.

I was very impressed by the staff, particularly Zach. He was very accommodating; there was an issue with our original rooms and he was able to make arrangements to place us into another room. The issue previously was a barking dog, which initially I thought was crazy, but he explained that they were helping a family whose house had burned down and were staying in the hotel while their home was rebuilt. If the hotel staff is willing to help someone out in that way, it makes me feel confident that they will take care of their other customers, and they did. Every morning thing the breakfast was great, hot and fresh. It seemed like every time I walked into the lobby fresh cookies had either just been made, or would be ready in about five minutes. The rooms were very clean and had been renovated to give a modern look. One thing I liked about these rooms was the size. With only a king bed, there was a ton of extra space. This is a hotel that was clearly renovated and there are a few things here and there where you can see that it was renovated, but overall, it felt luxurious and comfortable.

Due to COVID19 the advertised hot breakfast was not offered. However what was offered was unacceptable. We were given 1 orange, 1 granola bar and 1 small bottle of water when there are 3 people staying in our room. The shower also had some black dirt or mold in it.

Nice place, friendly staff. They do allow pets, including large dogs, just so you know. They should group all the pet owners together so that other guests are not inconvenienced at 2am from the room next door barking. Breakfast, a small bottle of water, a piece of fruit, and a bar, in a brown bag. Really could do better that than. Other places we stayed at on this trip actually had a breakfast bar.

Single overnight stop on drive southbound with a pet (dog). Check-in no one at desk, waited, walked around until market area tripped a bell. Staff not wearing mask, they have a partial plastic wall. Most guests not wearing masks, even though signage indicates required. Back and side doors apparently do not work (back is where pet area located), not a big deal but lends to poor maintenance. Only saw 1 or 2 out of 5 staff members seen wearing a mask. Big party of guests drinkers and smokers hanging outside partially into entry way going in and out-no masks.
Noisy from road traffic and someone yelling a conversation in hallway at 6am.
Funny that when you have a dog you have to sign a form that you're responsible for potential compensation to other guests if disturbed, why does that not also apply to humans? I don't think I've ever been disturbed by someone's pet, but loud adults and children who are fully controllable with words are not financially liable to behave?? This is not unique to this hotel, just pointing out the hypocrisy, no one wants to be distributed either way. Parking is limited, warning if you're towing, unless they have a second lot somewhere.
Room was ok, cleanliness on par with 2.5-3⭐ hotel, bed ok, room large, vinyl floors, maintenance a little lacking, but have seen much worse.
Breakfast in to go bags, included prepackaged processed foods (nothing healthy in my opinion): chocolate muffin, protein bar, fruit cup, mini water bottle. I would have traded all for a piece of actual fruit. Appreciate the effort and sentiment, just not food for me.

We arrived in Lookout Mountain on September 4, 2020. After having a very bad experience at a nearby local hotel on Brown's Ferry Road, where we were treated so much better by the staff at Country Inns and Suites! The desk clerk quickly found us a room and we were informed that the pet fee was $25 for however long we were going to stay. We immediately added another day to our trip. We went up to the room and it was wonderful. Not only clean but bright and sunny. A total flip to the other hotel and staff. For the four nights we stayed, all the staff we came into contact was so nice and helpful. The cleaning staff was great! If you plan a trip to Lookout Mountain, do yourself a favor and check out this hotel. I don't think you could possibly be disappointed.

Hi Eliziam1, Our property is located approximately 0.2 miles away from the exit ramp from Interstate 24. We do not have air fresheners that dispense a fragrance in the rooms themselves, and the only cleaning product we use that has even a slight fragrance to it is our floor cleaner, however, if you are to book a room and contact us afterward, or call us direct to book and tell us during booking, we can note your reservation and work with our housekeeping team to ensure we eliminate any fragrances from your room prior to your arrival with us. Thank you, Zachary Hall Assistant General Manager Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Chattanooga-Lookout Mountain
