The Anchor Inn is a budget motel. I don't expect much from such a place, so I don't think I overestimate what they should have. The bed was comfortable, and I've stayed in worse, therefore it gets a "poor" instead of a "terrible." The shower wall had a good size hole in it, along with other sections on the wall...

Worse place ever. It was dirty bug infested sheets were not clean. Were still waiting for refund. I drove 10 hours for that. Sheets stunk like man cologne. We woke up to bugs on us. We took pictures but im hoping they do the right thing

It was the last room in town, and towns (with or without rooms) are very far apart in South Dakota. You check in at the bar and are on your own from there on. We got a descent night's sleep but it was not the lap of luxury. The electrical outlets are so old that many did not accept a...

A nice place that I stayed in twice in May. Good beds and a great bar (Lost Souls) with a local scene that I found very welcoming. Great place to unwind after driving a zillion miles on I-90. Murdo is a great place to stop at on your drive.

I was driving across Interstate 90 in inclement weather, so I had to stop and stay overnight. I had stopped at a rest stop and called my dad since he was at home to see if you could find me somewhere to stay. My mobile network was not working for me to be able to find anything. He called me...

Bath rooms a mess, property dirty, very tired property! There are long term rentals in the lower level and at 2:00am thee were 2 women that were talking very loudly and it was difficult to sleep. Not a great place to stay!

The room was hot and stifling and the staff said it would cool down - the miniscule AC in the window was not up to that task. The beds are a little better than laying down on a stack of cardboard. There are holes in the wall and the tile in the bathroom looks like it was done by Fred...

We stopped here late at night when our young son was too tired to travel on to Rapid City. We were only there about 8 hours. This hotel was definitely much cheaper than the others off this exit but was still overpriced for what you get. My chief complaint was the room temperature. The room was extremely hot when we...

My husband and I have stayed here every year for at least 10 or more years. We also bring family and friends. I would recommend Anchor Inn to anyone needing over nite stay with a comfortable bed and clean rooms.

If you doing a whole bunch of traveling, after pricing rooms at several area hotels, we spotted the Anchor Inn. It was 25 dollars less than everywhere else. It was perfect for single night stay. Rooms were not huge but definitely adequate and very clean. Air conditioning work well. Bathroom was small but well functioning. We stopped in the attached...
