Stayed one night only but what a lovely place. Just miles from Mt Rushmore near Custer State Park and in the Black Hills, this lodge was just perfect for us. The room was very comfortable with nice little touches. The staff were very friendly. There is a restaurant/pub adjacent with a large KOA campground.

Staying here for 2 nights was a very pleasant experience. It is so centrally located in the Black Hills that day tripping from here is the way to go. From the time of check in until we left, everything about the Lodge at Palmer Gulch is first rate. The room was immaculately clean, the bed and especially the pillows were...

After stopping for directions and calling home for help we found the lodge hidden behind the KOA park. A lovely secluded lodge - lodge decor with a giant wooden carved bear in the lobby. Friendly staff. Beautiful view off the balcony - we arrived late and able to see a million stars. Large room. Free breakfast. Wish we could have...

The lodge compares to low priced motels in terms of newness, cleanliness and appearance. It is convenient to the recreation activities at the resort. The staff is South Dakota friendly and helpful, but overall, it's not a good value.

The room was very roomy and had a balcony off the back with a view. Better than the other side which overlooks the parking lot. We booked months ago and while we were on the nice side it was right across from the ice machine The carpet was stained and did not look clean. Don't like sharing hotel facilities with...

Room was nice, clean with a comfortable bed. But everything else was poor. Spotty wi-fi and tv channels. Breakfast was terrible, cold cereal and dry, old bagels. Juices and coffee were never refilled, at least while my family was present. It was the most expensive place we stayed and the one with the most complaints from my family of 4.

I have ever stayed at... And I have stayed at a lot! Where do I start... Well how about the genius who decided to stable dozens of horses RIGHT NEXT TO the pool... Can you smell it now? Or his other brilliant move... Drive the horses thru the campground every morning at 6 am... Yeh haw, crack that whip! Don't...

Picture a cabin number21 or 22 (priced north of $400 a night). This “furnished” cabin which was missing too many items to mention, including a working phone, and has no HOT WATER. Once the hot water has been restored at 10:00 at night, the worker says there should be an adjustment made for the night’s lodging. When I go to...

Great place! It was the end of the season and the camp was getting to close when we visited. But the food was great and the beer was cold. We will for sure be returning again to this awesome KOA. We are looking forward to coming back during the summer when the kids can swim and jump on the jump...

We absolutely loved this place. Our room was nice, with a view facing the woods. Most beautiful views! There is no microwave or refrigerator in the room, but the entire property it sits on, makes it very unimportant. Wi-fi has a pretty stinky signal, but if all you want to do is stay in your room, you are staying at...
