At Smiths Farm we received a warm welcome with warm muffins! We were treated like family and made to feel very welcome but also had lots of space to ourselves. The kitchen was cosy with a wood burning stove (logs were supplied) and very clean and tidy. We enjoyed our stay at Smiths Farm more than any other camping in...

We spent two nights (12/13 May) in this lovely peaceful park. We had a very quiet and private site for our motorhome. The owner Barbara greeted us with warm home-made muffins -- hit the spot after our time on the road, and we appreciated her lovely welcoming gesture. After feeding the farm animals with their food given us by Barbara,...

Thank you so much Laurie and Anne. We really enjoyed meeting and hosting you in the park. The waterfall is looking spectacular at present as we have just had some rain, but you are right, it can be slippery so we urge everybody to take care. You'll have to go onto the website and see the photos of the glow...

Great place for a quick family get away. We were welcomed by fresh banana muffins from the owner and our two bed motel unit was clean and spacious enough for two adults and two lively boys. We all enjoyed the night time walk up to the glow worms and the farm animals were all very child friendly.

We had a lovely stay in our camper. The walk to the waterfall in the dark to see glow worms was a highlight and our kids loved the animals. The facilities are clean and tidy. it's a small place so not too busy which is good because there isn't a lot of bathrooms. Our host gave us great advice in...

Hi Wendy, Thank you for your comments about our business. We try very hard to keep the park genuine so it is lovely to see it described as charming. We limit our numbers in an effort to keep the bathroom situation under control. In the height of the summer it can be very busy, we agree, but we do have...

We stayed in a motel appartment with 1 bedroom. Everything was clean and neat. Very nice and quiet place, where the main attraction is the animals. The sheep and the gigantic pig, Molly are the main attractions - and the kids absolutely loved it! We were welcomed very warmly, got a lot of good info about the area, and even...

Thank you for your lovely review and you would of course be most welcome to stay if you are ever back through this part of the world. We loved seeing your children play happily with the animals and also just in the tree hut and surrounding area. Molly our "gently rounded" pig is great fun and very friendly. The sheep...

From the moment that Barbara greeted us, we knew that we would like it here, even if we were only staying for one night. Excellent restaurant recommendation in Havelock and an interesting evening walk to see the glow worms. The home made muffins were an added bonus.

A really good place to stay. We stopped here the night before taking the ferry from Picton to the North Island. It's only a 30 minute drive to the ferry pier. It would work equally well if you want somewhere congenial to stay having made the trip the other way. In a rural area, with a lovely, family friendly walk...

Thanks Elsie and family. We love hosting your family as you are so easy to please!! We are hoping to add a few different bits and pieces so that the kids don't feel that it never changes. All the best and we hope to see you again maybe after Christmas! Kind Regards, Barbara and Chris

Arrived in with out a booking, and the lady was so friendly and accommodating. She greeted me with a genuine smile and two warm muffins which were freshly baked in a small straw basket. I was initially looking for a place to stay to break the trip from the Picton Ferry to the West Coast. However, I so liked the sound of the place that I adjusted our trip and ended up staying at Smiths Farm for 3 nights. I'm glad I did as we really enjoyed our time there. The facilities are clean...
