I reserved a room through Hotels.com for Sunday night, June 14. When I arrived shortly before 6 pm, the hotel was closed. No cars. No note. Nothing. Grass wasn't cut. I suspect closed for season, but who knows. I had a confirmation email from Hotels.com, who still have not refunded my $171.72 prepayment. Never again for either of these businesses!!!!

My husband and I stayed in this Inn because the Marriott hotel and other similar hotels were booked. We were pleasantly surprised. We stayed on the second floor which is a steep climb up a beautiful old staircase. The room was charming with a lot of period pieces. It was unusually cold outside (50 degrees was the high) and the...

Heard about this from a Clemson Alum. whose parents stayed here while visiting him in the 80's…well we enjoyed the stay. Room was neat tidy and well appointed with period furnishings and ceilings that were maybe 20ft. high. Had the opportunity to speak with ALL the staff individually…they were each very attentive and aiming to please. I will stay here...

This perhaps was the biggest disappointment we have ever had. We arrived after driving 675 miles. Greatest by Brandi-shown to our room. When we returned from dinner we realized there was no heat in the room [very cold night-and inside temp was in the upper 50's], no soap of any kind. [we asked first for soap-and the look on the...

During our little trip through South Carolina, we "discovered" a pleasant small town called "Pendleton, SC", thanks to a tip from my friend Gordon at the B HIve (MGB car parts!) in Clemson. We needed a place to spend the night and found the Liberty Hall Inn, a lovely historic mansion in Pendleton. We arrived in time for Sunday brunch...

First, the place is starting to get quite run down. The outside needs paint and the inside has peeling paint in some areas/rooms. There is rarely anyone on-site except at lunch or dinner time, and then not all the time--they close down if the restaurant is not busy, which, best I can tell was often. My greatest concern was the...

I travel to the upstate a couple of times a year on family business. While Pendleton is a bit off my usual track, I try to stay here as much as possible. It is charming and very quiet. Breakfast was delicious and I regret that I could not try lunch or dinner on my brief trip. I'm definitely staying here...

We spent two nights at the Inn and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The staff was extremely accommodating and we were treated like family/old friends. We would highly recommend this location for some genuine Southern hospitality!!

Liberty Hall Inn is a good B&B. The house is nice, the location is very convenient to Clemson (where we visited friends). Our room was very nice and clean, and the bed was VERY comfortable. We stayed two nights. Our breakfasts were good, but only basic--eggs as you like them one morning and omelets as you like them the other,...

We had a lovely time at the Liberty Hall Inn. Food is wonderful, and room was great. Staff was friendly, service was excellent, a beautiful place to stay. We would like to go back soon. Chef Victor is very talented, and we felt as though we were "family."
