We stayed at the Pelican Inn for 2 nights prior to checking in to our beach house rental. I would do this again with out hesitation. The rooms were clean. It is a beautiful bed and breakfast. Meals were fantastic. It has a private creek dock. Plenty of places to relax....the mini fridges on the porch were stuffed full and...

Perfect weekend getaway! The Inn is charming and in a beautiful location. Just a very short walk to the beach, which is nice a private. Love that it is not in a commercial location and surrounded by other local beach houses. And wow the food was outstanding! Only regret is we didn't have more time. We will be back for...

I grew up going to Pawley's every summer, & it is a huge part of my childhood. We always stayed in a simple cottage & shared bedrooms & bathrooms. Shared space is what I am used to. Local food & limited "attractions" is what I love. I have always wanted to stay at The Pelican Inn, & I finally did!...

The host, Corinne and her husband have rescued and updated the Inn with a love born of knowing the Inn as a child, an adult, and as a couple. They have done needed updates without altering the charm and historical feel of the Inn. Corrine exhibits great joy in preparing the meals (we were treated to both breakfast and lunch)...

The Inn is very interesting in terms of the building itself and its history. You can take the steps under the wonderful live oak canopy to go over the dune to the beach. Or you can cross the street to visit the dock on the sound. The shabby chic of the Inn is comfortable and the owner is a wonderful...

I grew up staying a week each summer in one of the historic cottages on Pawley's Island and had not been back in 40 years. My wife and I stayed at the Pelican Inn for 2 nights, on the way to a 4-night stay in Charleston. Wish we had been able to be there longer. The Pelican Inn is a...

Ideal setting for relaxation with friends and/or family. Welcoming porch with hammocks and rocking chairs. Comfortable rooms with individual thermostats. Amazing breakfast and lunch served family style. Then there's the beautiful beach and creekside dock for sunsets.

Lovely secluded area on Pawley's Island. Inn has 8 rooms and breakfast and lunch included. The meals are great and provide ample food for the day. Gazebos with hammocks are relaxing and provide shade. Heads up...may have to share a bathroom. Room 8 has a private bath. Great stress free vacation!

The Pelican Inn is an old house with a very short walk to the beach. Hammocks hang everywhere, inviting you to laze. There is also a dock across the road from the Inn on the marshes. The crab for our lunch was hauled out of a bucket on the dock--it's that kind of place. Two meals a day are served,...

This is a much overdue review. Our daughter Shelby got married at the Pelican inn (well actually at the little chapel down the street.. but all the festivities were at the Inn). It was last November 2013 and the weather could have been terrible but wasn't..it was perfect for an out door reception. She married a local young man and...

“The shared bath for rooms 5 and 7 is at the end of the hall, and the kids treated it as a public hall bath, using it as needed. If that doesn't appeal to you, you might avoid those two rooms. Two rooms have a private bath. The others share a bath in a jack-n-jill setup.”
